Everyone is so self conscious of their image, or even their life. There’s so much competition and people to base your life around that it’s hard to stay focused on what you actually want to be. Celebrities and social media icons have created an illusion of what the perfect woman should be, but behind all the make up, the fancy lighting and editing, and expensive clothes, they’re just the same as everyone else.
There is literally no definition of the perfect woman, every woman should be classed as perfect in their own way. Everyone assumes beauty is purely on the outside, but what lies within is just as important. Being an all around happy person, in both mind and body is the key to becoming the woman you’ve always wanted to be.
But who is the woman you’ve always wanted to be? Some will say it’s slim and pretty, some will say it’s strong and confident. Whatever you have in mind, use the tips below to get you where you want to be.

Be The Woman You’ve Always Wanted To Be
Setting Goals
You first need to set some milestones with who you want to be. Do you want to be an independent woman living on her own? Do you want to start your own business? Do you want to look a million dollars everyday? Setting something achievable and relatable to work towards is so important.
For most women, it is their self image and health or fitness that they’d like to change. Which is perfectly fine, being body confident is the ultimate way to feeling good about yourself. But make sure you set realistic goals. It’s so easy to plan to drop 10lbs in 6 weeks, but it’s really not healthy for your body.
You won’t be able to just jump into the gym and be training 6 times a week, you’ll burn yourself out and do more harm than good. Try setting a target of losing a 1lb a week to begin with, and cutting junk food out of your diet for 3 days a week. Then build on that until you feel you’re who you want to be.
Mind
The true root of happiness starts with the mind. Self confidence lies within your own head and how your perceive yourself. If you’re comparing yourself to the insta famous people, or the glamorous lifestyles of the rich and famous, then you’re never going to have true self confidence.
Everyone has things they dislike about themselves, this is only natural. But you can’t pinpoint your mind set on the negatives. Focus on your body as a whole and pick out the parts you love. It might not necessarily be your body that you find happiness in. You might have a love for life that drives you through the days.
Having a personality like this is infectious, and you’ll soon realise everybody around you is lucky to know you, as bigheaded as that sounds. It may be that you have a passion for a certain sport or hobby, use that to be a positive force in your life. The key here is to focus on the positive aspects of yourself rather than comparing yourself to people, and having unrealistic views of how you should be.
Your mind is unique, and you’re unique, embracing who you are is the first step to becoming the woman you’ve always wanted to be.
Body
As said above, you shouldn’t really focus on your body being the key way of changing into who you want to be. But every woman can admit this is easier said than done. There aren’t many women reading this that will be able to say they love every part of their body. If there is, they’re either really lucky or embracing themselves for who they are (which is a great thing).
Fortunately, if you do need to change, there are some really easy ways of doing so. As we get older especially, the things we desire to be different grow and grow.
One of the main things all women hate is wrinkles, and you’ll start to notice these appear quicker than you realize. But fear not, there are some excellent drugstore creams that visibly reduce the signs of wrinkles, and without trying to sound too much like your stereotypical advert, they do.
There’s also non-invasive treatments such as those offered by BOTOX® specialist, Dr. Yeilding that are less harmful, and more effective than your average botox treatment.
Bat wings (you know, the extra skin on the arms that continues to move after you’ve stopped waving) are another common complaint. Some simple lifestyle changes will easily eradicate this. Toning up and maintaining a healthy diet will see them reduce in no time.
If you wish you were a little better at makeup, get yourself some decent foundation, mascara, highlight etc. and get watching some tutorials. The power make up has in uplifting confidence is huge. Try and stick to being as natural as possible and you’ll love your new look. It’s amazing what makeup can do for you.
Health/Fitness
Health and fitness is so important for maintaining a healthy mindset towards yourself. Do you ever eat a pizza and in the moment think “mmmmm this is amazing”, yet as soon as the last slice is chomped down you instantly regret it all?
It is nearly impossible to have a positive body and mind, when we’re constantly clogging both up with fatty and salty foods. All of which not only have a negative effect on becoming who you want to be, but it is also a huge health risk. The preservatives, additives, and saturated fats pumped into processed foods are not exactly designed to make us feel good about ourselves.
A simple dietary switch to more organic foods will set you in the right direction to achieving your end goal. The sooner you cut out all the bad foods, the sooner you notice the difference it’ll make in your life. It’ll spur you on to do better, and the energy you’ll have from it is amazing.
Couple this with a nice dose of exercise and you’ll be well on your way to a more positive body image, and a better you. Working out is widely know to release endorphins that make you feel amazing post workout, but getting the motivation to get there is hard.
You need to have the image of who you want to be as a woman in the forefront of your mind, and use it to drive your motivation. As you start to notice improvements to your body it’ll help motivate you even more.
Work
Everyone has an image of their perfect job. Women can be so influential in the business world, some of the greatest CEOs are women. Yet the business world is still sexist in many ways. But this is a different topic, for a different day…
If you have a goal that involves you becoming, say a manager of a store, or starting up your own business, just take a leap of faith and work towards it. There’s nothing worse than looking back in life and wishing you’d become everything you wanted to be. Unless you try getting there, you won’t know how successful you can truly be.
If you feel you’re under qualified, take some time to do extra training, online course etc. to get you to where you wish to be. Sadly, most people do end up stuck in a dead end job that they really dislike. Nothing is as big of a barrier to stopping you from being who you want to be than this. Believing in yourself, and knowing you’re a powerful woman will open so many doors for you.
Relationships
Relationships can really be a big setback for some women. There’s so many people out there stuck in controlling relationships that really change women’s lives. Being in a healthy relationship can be so uplifting, and can be exactly what a woman needs to get her to where she wants to be in life.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a romantic relationship that a woman needs. Friendships are often the backbone to a woman’s life. Nothing beats getting together with the girls and having a good time, yet as we get older it seems we drift from more friends than we realize.
Surround yourself with women who are supportive and want to see you succeed. Women you can lean on, but also women who will be honest with you.
I’ll add here, though, getting rid of toxic relationships is very important. Being around people who are negative or don’t really want to see you suceed will just hold you back and keep you from being who you want to be.
Becoming the woman you’ve always wanted to be isn’t hard. You just have to know what you want, and change different aspects of your life to get there. Always stay focused on your end goals, and don’t give up if you hit minor set backs along the way. Women are the strongest people in the world, you can be who you want to be if you put your mind to it. And remember, the biggest obstacle to being who you were meant to be, is… YOU.
This was such a thoughtful post, thank you so much for sharing.
