By: Donna Chaffins | Date: July 31, 2008 | Categories: Education, In The News

The Phoenix Mars Lander has found conclusive proof of the presence of water on Mars — NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander has identified the white substance to be frozen water.

It was feared that the ice was CO2 (dry ice).  The Phoenix melted the ice and tasted it.

This is exciting news, especially to the science community.  The Red Planet is offering hope and the Phoenix's mission got extended for five more weeks.

For those who believe there is life on Mars…well now it is more possible then ever.

You can read more about the discovery at The Independent.
