This must see movie of The Boxtrolls, and my son’s excitement to see it on 9-26-2014, has been brought to you in partnership with SocialMoms and Focus Features. All opinions are 100% my own and may differ from yours. I will only endorse companies, products and services that I believe, based on my own experiences.
I am a huge proponent of imaginary play. We’ve always encouraged our son to use his imagination. So I am loving everything about the upcoming movie… The Boxtrolls. I’m really impressed with all the activities surrounding the release of the movie on Sept. 26.
I shared recently how my son created a Boxtroll from clay… now he has the opportunity to build a Boxtroll from cardboard thanks to Imagination Foundation and Focus.
About The Boxtrolls Cardboard Challenge:
The mission of the Imagination Foundation is to find, foster and fund creativity and entrepreneurship in children around the world. Focus is working with them to sponsor a Boxtrolls Cardboard Challenge, where kids can create and build crafts inspired by the movie, using cardboard boxes as the main resource – just like the Boxtrolls themselves do.

This is so needed in every child’s developmental stages.. we used to encourage it all the time when they were young.
My kids are super excited for this movie. It looks so cute.
This movie looks so cute. Getting kids involved in activities instead of just sitting and watching the movie is such a great motivation. Love it.

I wish that I were closer to one of these cities as well!
I LOVE this contest. I loved when my kids would build miraculous things from boxes and play for hours. This contest lets them win stuff too. AWESOME!
Ah, this is neat! I haven’t heard of boxtrolls!
Oh wow! I’ve never heard of this before. I bet my kids would love Boxtrolls.
This looks like it’s going to be a cute movie for kids!
The Boxtrolls looks like an interesting movie. The boxtroll challenge can really develop and challenge their creativity.
This kind of activity will sure to be fun for kids. It will enhance their creativity. Hope some org will also conduct the challenge here.
My kids are excited to see this movie. It really looks great!
I’ve never heard of boxtrolls. Sounds like a fun event though!
Based on what he did with the clay, he’s going to do amazing box art too. He’s pretty incredible, Donna.
I love this! Too often, we stifle our kids’ creativity, albeit accidentally. We need to encourage this type of thinking. Without creativity, we would have electricity or phones or much of anything.
I love this initiative. Creativity is what leads the human race to bigger and better things. We need to nurture that in our children.
Oh, man, I wish we lived near one of those. I saw the project your son made – it was incredible. I was thinking that I could use a big box we have and dress my daughter up for this 🙂
It figures…I move from PA and in a year I have constant reminders. I think the closest we could see them from where I am now would be Texas, but that’s still a hike. We’re a troll imaginary loving family, I’m sure this movie will be a hit!
this looks so cute
How I wish we have that kind of activities here in our city! 🙂
This looks like it is going to be such a cute movie. I wish i was closer to one of the cities to attend the event.
What a cute challenge. We just moved so we have many boxes we can do this with.
I cam’t wait to see this movie. It seems like a really cute one. Thanks for sharing.
My kids haven’t really shown any interest in this movie at all. I love seeing the kids in their boxes. Too cute.
Totally a fun activity, they are so cute.
What a awesome challenge. I find my kids to be most productive when they are working with a blank canvas, empty box, or sheet of paper. I will be sure to share this challenge!
One fun activity here!! I am sure if my girls would experience this one, they’ll surely love it!
Wish we also have that kind of activities here in our place..
My daughter can’t wait to see this movie.
This looks like so much fun, my kids would love this!
I love how creative it is! Cute movie too.
This is such a fun challenge. We went to public event where we saw famailies doing this.
I love challenges.. I am coming Boxtrolls 😀
We are so excited to see The Boxtrolls! I love how unique they are and how they inspire creativity. My little recyclers love to make characters out of boxes & other supplies. They would adore this challenge.
This looks like a cute movie.
We saw The Boxtrolls in theaters and thought it was odd yet cute. When a new piece of furniture arrived to our home a few days later, the kids had a fun time using the box to pretend they were Boxtrolls too!
