Ladies, aging isn’t a bad thing. We are just as beautiful now as when we were in our twenties. But there is still a way to age gracefully. It’s okay to want smoother skin, to want to not look as exhausted as we feel. So let’s look at some quick tips to look younger naturally.
There are many ways to look younger, and here are 6 very simple things we can do right now that will improve our skin significantly, decrease wrinkles and other signs of aging, and make us feel more confident.
These are simple beauty and skincare tips, not makeup tricks. In fact, too much makeup can make you look older.
Look Younger With These Beauty Tips
Tip 1 – Wear Sunscreen
Dermatologists all agree – wearing sunscreen every time you are in the sun (no matter the season) protects you from skin cancer. But did you know the sun’s UV rays can have aging effects on your skin?
According to dermatologist Dr. Manish Khanna, the sun damages our skin via a process called “photoaging,” and everyone should use hats, sunscreen and other methods of protection.
“Scientific studies have shown that repeated UV exposure breaks down collagen and impairs the synthesis of new collagen. The sun also attacks our elastin fibers. Without the skin’s supportive connective tissue (collagen and elastin) our skin loses its strength and flexibility. Essentially, the sun makes us look older, faster.” – Dr. Khanna
Photoaging shows up in wrinkles, dry skin, leathery skin, and other discolorations such as spots and uneven skin tones. Cover up, and you’ll maintain your youthful skin.
Tip 2 – Don’t Work Out Too Hard
Yes, working out at the gym helps us burn fat, gain muscle, and have a younger looking body. But if you don’t enjoy working out, you can use this as an excuse! Keeping a small bit of fat in your face actually helps you look younger.
This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t strive to be a healthy weight… you just don’t need to be super skinny. Because a skinny face as you age looks older. It just does.

Tip 3 – Use Alpha Hydroxy Acids
Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) are found in face washes and exfoliators. Always use a face wash for your skin type. Then, make sure you find one with AHAs. AHAs stimulate cell regrowth. This means that whatever creams you add afterward will work even better.

Tip 4 – Do Yoga, Destress
Stress causes frown lines and forehead wrinkles. How much time are you spent squinting, groaning, or just overall upset?
Stress is hard on your entire body, not just your face. Carrying around tension in your back will make you feel more tired and stiff.
Yoga relaxes your entire body and emotional mind. This will have incredible benefits for your skin too.
Tip 5 – A New Do
Another way to help you look younger is to try something new with your hair. If you have long hair, you might get a shorter hair cut, or if you have short hair, you can buy tape in human hair extensions. Hair extensions are an easy and fun way to look younger and try different looks without actually doing anything to your own hair.
Tape in human hair extensions is a semi-permanent hair extension method that is quick and easy to install, as well as easy maintenance.
Tip 6 – Cut Sugars From Your Diet
Sugars don’t just cause you to gain weight, they exacerbate a process called glycation. Basically, glycation is a process where the sugar in your blood attaches to proteins to form harmful molecules called glycation end products. These molecules attack the very things that help our skin look younger – collagen and elastin.
Decreasing the amount of sugar you consume will help your skin maintain more of its elasticity. So just kick sugar to the curb.
Although looking younger is what many of us search for, looking younger oftentimes comes from within. Finding a good anti-aging supplement will help you achieve a younger you from the inside out.
