I received one subscription box for review purposes. Links in this post may also be affiliate links, which means if you click on a link and make a purchase, I may earn a commission. And for the record, I am so excited about this box that I am now subscribed to Wildgrain (I pay for it out of my own pocket) and have already received May’s subscription box. Sourdough bread is where it’s at.

Fresh Sourdough Bread, Pasta, and Pastries from Wildgrain
Nowadays, people have everything from meat, produce, meal planning services, and groceries delivered straight to our doors. But no bread. As someone who loves bread, Wildgrain is the ultimate subscription box service…
However, as much as I love bread, I just don’t have the time to bake fresh bread. And even if I did, I’m not a huge baker. I love to cook, but baking just isn’t my forte.
Wildgrain makes it easier, healthier, and more delicious with the first-ever bake-from-frozen subscription box for sourdough bread, fresh pasta, and pastries.
How It Works
Each month you will receive delicious bread, pasta, and pastries from the best small U.S. businesses. Everything is frozen and takes only 25 minutes or less to bake. No defrosting necessary… straight from freezer to oven.
Having home-baked, delicious bread, pasta, and pastries on your dinner table, quick and easy, sounds perfect to me.
What’s in a Wildgrain Box?
Each month you will receive an assortment of sourdough breads, pastas, and artisanal pastries if you choose the Mixed Wildgrain Box or a variety of sourdough breads and artisanal pastries if you choose the Bakery Box.
Wildgrain sent me a Mixed Wildgrain Box in April. What was included in my box was…
- Sourdough Rolls – I’ve tried these, and they are so yummy. A crispy outside crust that contrasts with the inside which is soft and porous. The perfect artisan bakery sourdough rolls.
- Slow fermented Cranberry-Pecan Bread
- Sourdough Bread – I could have eaten the whole sourdough bread myself. But my family said I had to share. Same as the rolls the crispy golden outside crust with a soft inside. I love dipping this bread in olive oil bread dip.
- Sourdough Sesame Seed Bread
- Fresh Tonnarelli
- Fresh Fettuccine
- Chocolate Croissants
How It’s Shipped
The box came with ice packs, dry ice, and all the items were frozen. So, everything went straight to my freezer. I also love that the shipping is eco-friendly.
Pros of Wildgrain Subscription Box
Taste
The most important thing to me is taste. I love bread, but if it doesn’t taste good, what’s the point? I’ve tried three different breads out of my subscription boxes so far, and…
OH, EM, GEE!
The best-tasting bread. Tastes like I just went to my favorite family-owned bakery and got it.
Perfect served with a salad and an olive oil dip.
Convenience
Seriously. If you bake bread from scratch, you know what it entails. So, just being able to go to your freezer, pull out some rolls, or a loaf of sourdough bread, put it in the oven, and in approximately 25 minutes, you have fresh homemade bread… a WIN!
Quick and Easy
As I mentioned above, baking sourdough bread from scratch is time-consuming. It is not quick and easy. Wildgrain makes it very quick and easy.
As a busy woman, give me quick and easy any day.
No Mess
Baking bread from scratch is a mess. At least for me. I’m a very messy baker. Wildgrain takes the mess out of it.
Eco-friendly
The shipping that your Wildgrain subscription box comes in each month is eco-friendly.
Ease of Pausing or Canceling
If you decide to pause your subscription, you can easily do so. You might realize that you don’t go through all the bread, pasta, or pastries in a month and decide to set your deliveries for every six weeks.
You can pause for however long you want and then restart whenever you want. And most importantly, you can cancel your subscription at any time — NO hassle.
Price
A monthly subscription runs you $89. This price is comparable to buying these products at a small, family-owned, local bakery. Trust me, the taste says it all.
And it’s always FREE shipping!
Cons of Wildgrain Subscription Box
Price
Yes, I know I put “price” as a pro, but I realize that many people don’t shop at bakeries regularly and get their baked goods from a grocery store. In that case, a Wildgrain subscription box is pricier. But it is so worth it if you can manage it.
You can set your deliveries to come less so you won’t need to pay $89 every month. PLUS, take advantage of my $30 Off CODE: BBD30Off on your first month! That’s just $59!
No Customization
I do wish I was able to customize my subscription. Maybe give several options to choose from. I will say that everything in the two boxes I’ve received so far is fantastic. I can’t wait to try everything.
You can choose to receive a Mixed Wildgrain box, which will include pastas.
Serving Sizes of Pastas
I received two pastas in the April box, but not sure they are going to be enough for my pasta-loving family. For two, the pastas will be plenty, but for a bigger family, not so sure.
This is the main reason I decided to switch from a mixed-box subscription to a bread and pastries box.
But homemade fresh pasta does sound amazing.
My Thoughts on the Wildgrain Box Subscription
If you love having food shipped to your home, you will LOVE Wildgrain Subscription Box! And if you’re a bread lover like me… this IS the ideal subscription box!
As mentioned above I did love the box that Wildgrain gifted me so much that I subscribed to have Wildgrain shipped to my home monthly. I think that’s the best testimonial anyone can give.
