Cuts and Scrapes and MRSA, Oh, My – SAFESKIN Kids for peace of mind

SafeSkinKidsImg Safeskin kids

I am not a germophobe. I am cautious, however. And I do have a fear (possibly irrationally) of MRSA. Seriously. My niece contracted MRSA after she had her son (during the C-Section), and it was some scary stuff.

Scary. Stuff.

It’s not something I want to ever deal with… and my son is too important to me. So I love that SafeSkin has an antibacterial gel that is a long lasting protective barrier for applying to minor cuts, scrapes, burns, and creates a barrier for MRSA — up to 48 hours! The key phrase here is “creates a barrier for MRSA — up to 48 hours!”

I like the sound of that. Now, I apply SafeSkin Kids to Cody’s cuts and scrapes as soon as I know he has them. Better “safe” than sorry, I always say. I love that there is a long-lasting protection. It really does give me some peace of mind.

You bet I’ll stay stocked up on SafeSkin Kids Antibacterial Gel. You can find it at Walmart.  Oh, and here’s a coupon for $1 off:

I hear ya. I think it’s because I have a close family member, who was only 21 at the time almost die from it, makes me more leery/aware. But you are so right… we have enough to worry about. 🙂

  7. I wouldn’t say that I really worry about MRSA, but I do try to take precaution and properly clean and cover every cut as soon as possible.

  12. I do not worry about MRSA. Last time I checked over 90% of us carry some form of MRSA. I have a special needs son who is a carrier. He has had issues because of it only 1 time when it got inside his skin. Yes it was gross but treatable. Normal soaps & waters do not kill MRSA. There are special body washes you can get though. Most of us will never have a problem though because of it. I am not afraid of MRSA.
