I love the Fall. The vivid colors of the leaves changing. The crisp feel to the air in the early mornings. The bearable temperatures. Halloween, pumpkins, the movies, and Thanksgiving. Ah, Autumn. I found these beautiful autumn quotes and images (via Unsplash and Pixabay) that aptly describe my feelings about this wonderful season. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

autumn quotes

“Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.”  ~Elizabeth Lawrence

fall quotes

“Falling leaves hide the path so quietly.” ~John Bailey, “Autumn”

autumn quotes

“Oh how we love pumpkin season. You did know this gourd-ish squash has its own season, right? Winter, Spring, Summer, Pumpkin… We anxiously anticipate it every year.” ~Unknown

autumn quote

“I saw old Autumn in the misty morn stand shadowless like silence, listening to silence.” ~Thomas Hood

autumn quote

“Autumn, the year’s last, loveliest smile.” ~William Cullen Bryant

I think you can see why these fall quotes and beautiful fall images are some of my favorites. They inspire me to get out and enjoy the changing colors and cooler weather. And bring me so much joy during my favorite season. I love collecting quotes, too.

It’s the time of year to let things go, too, whether you call it autumn or fall.

I kind of think of it as “fall,” a time to let things fall away… let go of bad feelings and bad thoughts. Get rid of things and declutter my home. Let it fall away.

So not only is fall the most beautiful season with all the fall colors, more than just the leaves change but so does my attitude.

With Thanksgiving just a couple of days away I want to take a moment to give thanks to you, my readers. I thank each of you for visiting my blog this past year, it means more to me than I can put into words. I am forever grateful for you. I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
