Today offers so many advances in technology that were not available when I was a pre-teen and teenager. Most of these technological advances are wonderful… making all our lives easier. However, there are also some real issues/threats that come along with them. One of the real issues that our kids face today is with mobile phones.
A few that comes to mind are texting while driving, bullying, privacy issues, over-usage, sexting, and I’m sure more.
So when I was asked to take part in a campaign to help promote mobile safety… I said, “Yes!”
AT&T has made a pledge to be a leader in providing education, resources and tools to help parents and their children better manage mobile safety.
If you are interested in learning more, AT&T is offering the opportunity to one of Blog by Donna readers to attend a virtual Mobile Safety School session – along with a $50 VISA gift card.
The virtual Mobile Safety School schedule is as follows:
- Oct. 23 at 1p ET – mobile safety for kids 8-11
- Oct. 24 at 1p ET – mobile safety for kids 12-14
- Oct. 25 at 1p ET – mobile safety for kids 15-17
I’ll be attending the Oct. 23rd session.
I have some great news! AT&T is giving one of YOU a $50 Visa gift card as well as one of the spots in the virtual Mobile Safety School sessions (maybe the same one I’ll be attending)! Because if you are like me, I’m sure you want to be as informed as you can be. Or maybe you have some tips/ideas of your own… or just share your experiences with your children and their mobile phones. You may have more to teach than you know.
Stay tuned — I’ll let you know after I’ve attended the virtual Mobile Safety session what I learned.
Ends Oct. 16 at 11:59 pm EST. Just fill out the Rafflecopter form below. Good luck!
Disclosure: I received compensation from AT&T and The Motherhood for my participation in this campaign. As always opinions are 100% my own.
