How to make cash fast is a question I hear a lot. I see this question on Facebook, in forums, and I’ve received emails from people asking me if I know of ways to make cash fast… especially how to start a blog and make money from blogging. Blogging can earn you an income, but it isn’t going to make you cash fast! Blogging is hard work and takes time.
Are you looking for some ways to earn some quick cash? Did you have an emergency or do you have an upcoming holiday to prepare for? Whatever the reason you need some quick cash, you’re in luck because there are a variety of ways that you can earn it. They may not all work for you but the idea is to give you some ideas and ways to make some cash quickly…
10 Ways to Make Cash Fast:
If the weather is permitting or you have a garage or covered area you can use, it’s a good time to pull out some stuff you don’t want any more (or that you can bear to part with) and sell it for the cash you need.
There are many different types of scrap materials that you probably have lying around your house already and you might be able to sell for scrap. Metals also go for the most but sometimes you can get scrap prices on other items as well. It all depends on the area you live in and the current market. In some states, you can return bottles and cans for cash too.
House-sitting, baby-sitting, or pet-sitting, there are a variety of ways you can earn a few extra bucks from sitting for someone.
Medical Studies or Sell Body Parts
If you live near a University you can sign up for medical studies. I know someone that does this from time to time and it usually pays decent money. Blood, hair and plasma are all parts of the body you can earn money for selling, too. Sure, it might sound crazy but there is a legitimate need in the market and it’s legal to sell these parts.
Craigslist or local sell groups are a great way to unload things you no longer want. It’s like a yard sale but online and usually for individually listed items instead of many things at once like at a typical sale. Maybe you have your wedding gown or a baby stroller or a computer you have no need of any longer, try Craigslist.
Get a Part Time Job
If you really need cash, consider getting a part time job. There are temp agencies, seasonal positions and other opportunities for a secondary or part time job to help you out.
Start a Home-Based Business or Direct Sales
A take on the part-time job idea that allows you to stay home, you can start a home-based business. To get going quickly, start with a skill you already have or something that doesn’t require you to have any background, such as a drop-shipping business. Or do direct sales like Avon, Mary Kay or Oragami Owl.
Sell Your Crafts
Making stuff to sell is a good way to earn some extra cash. You can sell on Etsy, local buy/sell groups online, or at flea markets or even directly to people through word-of-mouth. Use Facebook to share what you can do/make and use Facebook sale groups to get the word out locally.
Do Manual Labor
If you’re physically fit, you could mow lawns, rake leaves, shovel snow, carry in groceries or do other manual labor and tasks for some extra cash. You might even be helping out a neighbor in the process. Win-win!
There are many places that will pay you for your skills and time as a researcher. You could fill out surveys, be a secret shopper or participate in a market study. Not all of these opportunities pay out quickly though so if you need the cash fast, be sure to check on that first.
These are just a few ideas to get you started on making cash fast. You might think of more on your own or you might tweak these ideas to suit yourself better. Don’t forget that you can also check old purses, under the couch cushions and also in the car for loose change or dollars you might have forgotten you had.
Also check and see if you have missing money or unclaimed property owed to you or a family member. I wrote about it HERE.
