Seed Daily Synbiotic. A probiotic + prebiotic.

I started taking Seed Daily Synbiotic two months ago and it has been a game-changer. In fact, I honestly haven’t felt this good in a very long time.

The Daily Synbiotic is a 2-in-1 capsule – a probiotic inner capsule PLUS a prebiotic outer capsule. A proprietary formulation of clinically verified, naturally occurring probiotic strains. Strains not found in most other supplements,  yogurt, or fermented foods and beverages.

Seed Probiotic Strains (from their website)

“Our strain collection includes probiotic strains banked in Italy, Denmark, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Spain, Japan, and the United States. Our collection of strains, methods of use, finished formulations, and scale-up processes are unique to Seed and not found in yogurt, fermented foods, or ‘probiotic’ beverages.

All of our strains have GRAS and/or QPS (Qualified Presumption of Safety) status under the European Food and Safety Authority (EFSA). They are not cultured with and are free from the 12 Classes of Allergens defined in Annex IIIa of Directive 2007/68/EC.Directive 2007/68/EC.”

Seed Clinical Work (from their website)

“To date, our strains have collectively been studied in 23 human clinical studies including double-blind, placebo-controlled trials conducted in the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, and Japan. Primary and secondary outcomes demonstrate statistically significant improvements in multiple markers of gastrointestinal health, cardiovascular health, and dermatological health. These studies are published in peer-reviewed journals like Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, Scientific Reports (Nature), and JAMA Dermatology, and are all indexed to PubMed, the central database for life science journal literature at the National Institute of Health.”

Seed prebiotic (from their website)

“Punicalagins isolated and purified from Indian pomegranate—these are biotransformed by gut microbes into powerful metabolites for human health. Concentrated phenolic compounds from wild-harvested organic Scandinavian chaga and pine bark.”

2-in-1 Capsule Technology (from their website)

“The 2-in-1 capsule technology and patented algae microsphere delivery system protects against stomach acid and safeguards viability through digestion. The chlorophyllin exterior shields from light, while a liquid prebiotic suspension is an additional barrier to oxygen, moisture, and heat (which bacteria are sensitive to). ”

Why I Need a Probiotic

which is the best probiotic
Dealing with gastrointestinal issues isn’t fun. Finding the best probiotic is…

I have have had gut issues for years.

For a long time now I’ve had frequent bowel movements every day (diarrhea often) along with bloating and abdominal cramping. I found myself taking Imodium more often than I care to admit and never left home without a bottle with me. Just in case.

I’ve tried so many different probiotics. But I’ve just never found anything that really helped or at least not for long.

What I’ve learned is, probiotics are a huge money-making industry and not all probiotics are created equal. And I suggest you need to be diligent in your research on probiotics and prebiotics.

Why I Chose Seed

When the opportunity came up to try Seed Daily Synbiotic, I did some research first and discovered that Seed is the best-rated probiotic company according to Mamavation.

Mamavation evaluated over 70+ probiotic brands and the clear winner was Seed Daily Synbiotic (in the top 3) based on clinical research for…

  • Digestive health
  • Feminine health & fertility
  • Metabolism
  • Healthy heart
  • Skin

So, of course, I said, “Yes, I’d love to try Seed Daily Synbiotic”!

I am now in my eighth week of taking Daily Synbiotic and I’m shocked at how I am experiencing a good change in my gut health.

My Experience (in all its embarrassment)

When I first started taking this probiotic + prebiotic I started with the recommended one a day for the first three days, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

Almost immediately I started experiencing some extreme gas. Yes, I know, it’s not a pleasant thing to experience nor is it fun to talk about and share with you. But… I want to be completely transparent about my experience with taking Daily Synbiotic.

And when I say gas, I mean I’ve never experienced so much gassiness in my life.

Yet, on the fourth day, I started taking two Seed Daily Synbiotic capsules. I took them on an empty stomach, as recommended, taking them both at the same time.

Holy flatulence, Batman!

Yep, like All. Day. Long.

After three days of this (a total of 7 days now), I decided to go back down to one capsule a day. Yet, I was still experiencing a lot of gas. And even more bloating than normal for me.

Y’all, I started to give up and say that they just weren’t for me. Because everyone I found that was taking Seed Daily Synbiotic didn’t seem to experience this side effect.

But, in my research, I discovered that some people do experience gas, bloating, and discomfort when taking probiotics — at first. And most people will NOT experience this side effect… just the lucky few like me.

This side effect usually subsides in a few days to a few weeks. For me, the side effect finally subsided at the beginning of week four.

And once the gas and bloating stopped, I felt like a new woman.

As I mentioned above I’ve had gut issues for years. In fact, I’ve been bloated (and during the first 3 weeks of taking Seed I was bloated more than usual – and that’s pretty bloated), for about two months before starting Seed. I have gained some weight and attributed my stomach looking so big to the weight gain.

Practically overnight my stomach looked different (and felt so much better). Don’t get me wrong, my stomach isn’t flat. I’m one of those people whose weight is carried in my middle. But there is a very noticeable change in my belly. I don’t look 9-months pregnant anymore.

Which Probiotic is Best?

Which is the best probiotic?
Which is the best probiotic? In my opinion, it’s, Seed Daily Synbiotic Probiotic + Prebiotic.

Here are the benefits of taking Seed Synbiotic Daily…

Digestive Health / Gastrointestinal Immunity / Gut Barrier Integrity

My main reason for wanting to take probiotics was for better gut health and I think Daily Synbiotic accomplished this for me.

Dermatological Health

I really believe I can tell a difference in my skin, too. My skin just looks and feels naturally better.

Cardiovascular Health

I can’t attest to this benefit, but I’m hoping it is working to improve my cardiovascular health.

Micronutrient Synthesis (Feminine Health  & Fertility)

I’m not about this benefit either and I’m way past the fertility phase in my life I don’t think I would be anyway.

As I said, the main reason I wanted to take probiotics is for the gastrointestinal and digestive benefits.

Seed’s chief scientist is Dr. Gregor Reid, who is the Chair of the United Nations World Health Organization Expert Panel on Probiotics.

The experience I had starting Seed is not common, but even with my… gassy start, the end results have been amazing. I cannot tell you how much better I feel. And I have so much more energy lately.
