I’m a southern girl, through and through. As a southerner, some of my fondest memories revolve around Sunday dinners.
I tend to think of fried chicken, baked ham, potato salad, green beans, cornbread, and banana pudding, to name a few, as some of the staples of southern foods you might find at the Sunday dinner table.
Nowadays, I tend to do healthier versions of these southern recipes, but time to time, a good old-fashioned southern Sunday dinner is just too good to pass up.

Oh the fried chicken looks so good….I haven’t had fried chicken in ages. We usually make baked chicken or have soup. Food talk is making me very hungry! I’ve only had oatmeal and chocolate all day!
My favorite dish would be mashed potatoes and gravy with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy 🙂

That fried chicken just made me very hungry! I was in Alabama a few years back and had the best fried fish and mustard collard greens I have ever tasted in my life. Southern food…there is nothing like it.
Looks very tasty. We don’t fry much food but chicken is one of the few things we do fry.

I don’t eat a lot of Southern food {not intentionally, it’s just not something I think to make} but those all look delicious! I am a HUGE fan of hush puppies.
