Dear Cody,
It has been another busy month. You’ve done a lot of fun things this month, like, hiking and exploring in Cades Cove and going to see “Mulan”, at Knoxville Children’s Theatre (and we are actually going to see it a second time tonight with your fellow cast members from “Tom Sawyer”).
You got all As on your interim. And still loving 5th grade. You are working so hard and we are so proud of you!
I’m keeping this month’s letter short and sweet, because quite honestly, I have been busy helping out at your school this past month. So keeping up with my deadlines has kept me busy.
I generally like to add lots of photos from each month (we take so many pictures to sort through to pick out the ones I like best, then editing them, takes a LOT of time). I asked you some questions a few months ago, and you had fun with that, so I decided to do that again.
Besides, it’s fun to hear your answers, and I think you will get a kick out of them when your older, too.
Here goes…

Canteloupe
2. What is your favorite board game?

I love you to the moon and back!
~Mommy
These monthly letters to our sons and photographs are a part of a circle. We will be publishing our letters on the first Fridays of every month. So please follow and check out the circle continuing with myย friend, Alison at Being Alison.
Yay for straight As! And Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday, too!
How sweet. These will provide wonderful memories for him when he is older.
I’m glad that 5th grade is going so well! I love the question idea. I’ll have to remember to do that with Nick some day. I think they will get a kick out of reading it later.
I keep meaning to do this with my children I love the Q & A with your son and he sounds like such a good student.
This is a lovely idea – it will be real fun to look back on his responses in the years to come. And what a lovely, handsome, happy boy – great pictures ๐
I think it will be fun, too, Susan. And thank you so much! ๐
This sounds like a great way to document the memories. His favorite drink sounds amazing, I am a sucker for ice cream. ๐
Such a sweet post. I feel like writing these kinds of posts.
They’re my favorite posts to write, Vanessa! ๐
wow a defense attorney now that’s impressive. He sounds like a great kid
Tricia, he plays Phoenix Wright and has gotten hooked on all things trial related. It’s funny really. And when I was in high school I wanted to be a lawyer. I’d never told him that until he answered the question for me the other night. ๐ Obviously, I changed my mind, and he will more than likely change his, too. ๐
This is a nice letter I love the Q&A, what a great idea I have to doing that.
This is such a sweet post.
We’ve been doing these letters for less than a year, yet I feel like he’s grown up a ton in that time!
What a great idea. What is Catan? I’ve never heard of that game. Defense Attorney, huh? Is he good at arguing? ๐
Congrats on all A’s big guy!
I love reading these letters. So sweet.
Ok, I LOVE that he wants to be a defense attorneyโฆthat is so funny! Ahahahahaha! What a smart boy, at his age I would have had no clue what that was! Aren’t kids so much smarter and more motivated these days?
