If you’re thinking about getting your first tattoo … wait! Getting ink is a big decision, and too many people tend to rush it. Why not try the hottest trend for Spring, temporary tattoos. You can change them to go with your moods, outfits or a special time of year. Temporary tattoos are ripped right off the runway and ready to rock!

Choosing a Temporary Tattoo

There are many different types of temporary tattoos, from simple shapes to television characters to glitter infused, the choice is yours. It shouldn’t matter if a particular design is popular or not, the temporary tattoo you choose is just that, temporary.

Your design should be something that is fun and placed wherever your heart desires. They can be chosen for a girls’ night out, a compliment to your ‘rocker’ outfit or even worn instead of jewelry. There are temporary tattoos that can be combined to appear as a necklace or bracelet complete with hanging charms. The key is to use how many you like and wear them as one of the hottest Spring accessories. Be unique and showcase your personality.

How to Apply a Temporary Tattoo

  • Temporary tattoos are popular among people of all ages and are surprisingly easy to apply.
  • Pick your tattoo you wish to apply, trim the excess paper around the tattoo and peel the clear protective plastic off.
  • Choose the spot on your body for the tattoo and clean with cotton and alcohol.
  • Place the tattoo face down on your body.
  • Press down firmly with a damp cloth.
  • Hold in that position for 60 seconds then gently peel paper off.
  • Let air dry for 1 minute.

Try Creating Your Own Design

Although there are many temporary tattoos that you can chose from, sometimes, you have that special piece in mind.
There are many websites that have dozens of choices to help you create that art you long for. If you are still having trouble, try putting together designs to create your tattoo.  You may also try websites that tattoo artists offer their artwork for temporary or permanent tattoos.

Using temporary tattoos as a part of your accessories this Spring is very on-trend. Celebrities love them because they allow them to dress like a rock star one evening and a classic starlet the next.

You may not be able to find a temporary tattoo in your exact design, but you can likely find one that is similar by utilizing a tattoo art website. You can end up with a piece of artwork that you are truly proud of.

  1. I’m one of those people who would never get a tattoo – but love this idea for those that would want one, but don’t want it permanent!

That’s me, Tammy… tattoos are just not my thing, but a temporary one would be fun from time to time. And they make some really nice ones that most people wouldn’t even know it wasn’t permanent unless I told them. 🙂
