Did you know that July 22 was Hammock Day? It is! This offbeat holiday is right up my alley. In fact, I think there should be several Hammock Days a year. Don’t you?
Even if you don’t have two trees to tie a hammock between they make great stand alone hammocks, now.
So in celebration of Hammock Day… go out (although it’s going to be a rainy day here) and relax on a hammock!
We had a stand alone hammock but did not utilize it enough. Once my tree gets bigger and provides a bit more shade, I might look into getting another one.
My hubby spent 2 years in France when we were college aged. He said everything is so much more low key there. Everyone gets 2 hours for lunch and their work weeks are so much shorter. I think sometimes we are so busy in the hustle and bustle that we don’t take the time to relax. Yay for hammock day and taking time to relax!
I so wish I had a hammock to laze the afternoon away in! We have some great trees in our new backyard that would be perfect to hang one between 🙂
Well darn it! I need a hammock!! Like now!
I got a hammock last Christmas and I do have several places to hang it. I just need a free afternoon. Now I’m finding out (four days late) that there’s such a thing as hammock day and I missed it!
If it was cool enough I would seek one out to enjoy – but it’s just too hot I love hammocks while on vacy though!
