This keeping toxins and chemicals out of my home and saving money on cleaning products is part of a sponsored campaign. All opinions are 100% my own and may differ from yours. The day I found out I was pregnant, my whole way of thinking changed. Just like that. I started thinking about more than just myself. And honestly, I really didn’t think about what I was putting into my body, or on my skin, or the products I used in my home.
In fact, I regularly used harsh chemicals because I thought it was the only way to be sure I was killing germs. I also grew up in a time when adults smoked around their children, it wasn’t mandatory to wear seat belts, we laid out in the sun or tanning beds trying to get as dark as we could, and a myriad of other “not good for your health” things to ourselves.
But on that day in March of 2002 I started to care.
Actually, I started to think about the products I used. I think I’ve always cared about others and the environment, I just didn’t “think” about it. I just thought that this is how my mom did things and how I’ve done things to this point and I’m okay. Right?
Maybe. Or maybe the things I have done in my past will catch up with me and show in health problems later.
Okay, I’m an adult and made the choices I made, now I’m a mother and making decisions for another human being. I need to be informed.
I completely agree that education is the key… so I researched, studied, and researched some more about everything I brought into our home and everything I put into and onto my body. I was carrying this beautiful innocent life inside me, I had to protect him.
I found that oftentimes, to get all-natural, healthy products, I had to pay for it. Meaning it usually costs more to live a green lifestyle.
I was thrilled to discover that Walmart has a new line of green products — Great Value Naturals are not only “green” cleaning products, but economical, too.
As of right now the new Great Value Naturals include these four products:
- Great Value Naturals Liquid Laundry Detergent, $8.97 for 100 fl. oz.
- Great Value Naturals Mutli-Surface Cleaner, $2.47 for 32 fl. oz.
- Great Value Naturals Glass & Window Cleaner, $1.98 for 32 fl. oz.
- Great Value Naturals Automatic Dishwasher Gel, $3.97 for 75 fl. oz.
Walmart has plans of adding more products to their Great Value Naturals line in the future.
I’ve been using all of the above products for almost two weeks now and I’m pleased and impressed with the results. I’m hoping they come out with Automatic Dishwasher pacs soon. The gel works perfectly fine, but I like the ease of use and convenience of pacs better.
I love the laundry detergent. I suffer from contact dermatitis and have to be extra careful with the laundry detergent I use, so having one that has no dyes, toxins, or irritants in it, makes me and my skin very happy.
How does the technology work?
Great Value Naturals cleaning products are made from plant-based, all-natural Evolve® cleaning technology. Evolve is the first all-natural cleaning technology that is lab-tested to achieve results at levels of efficacy previously seen only through the use of petroleum-based cleaners, detergents, degreasers and solvents.
The technology effectively captures and breaks down soils, grease and grime without leaving harmful residues or irritants behind on skin, surfaces or the environment. As the first green technology to match the potency of chemical cleaners, products with Evolve-based technology deliver a level of clean that consumers often notice after a single use.
It’s no longer necessary to sacrifice the familiar strength of traditional cleaners to have a toxic-free environment at home. With products made from Evolve-based technology, consumers get the best of both worlds – superior cleaning and all-natural safety.
They are currently being sold at over 2,000 Walmart stores. Can’t find them in your local store? You can purchase them online!
Do you use green cleaning products? And what’s the most important “green” product to you?
