A place for everything, and everything in it’s place. This is my mantra for 2013 and beyond. It. Is. My. Mantra. I have set several goals for myself… all of which I am well on my way of reaching, sans one.
Organization. Or, in my case, the lack of organization. I’m even a little ashamed at just how unorganized I am.
I have not always been a disorganized person. Quite the contrary, really. Yet, that is exactly what I am, today. I’m proud of myself for the goals I’m accomplishing at the moment, but my disorganization is affecting my life in ways I don’t think even I realize.
As of today… I am going to get organized. Don’t get me wrong, I started in August to de-clutter my home, so I am off to a good start, but now I need to get organized. Mantra: A place for everything, and everything in it’s place.
I received the Brother P-Touch Label Maker, the desk top version, a short time back, and as I was going through my home doing the de-cluttering I mentioned earlier, I thought of the ways I could use the P-Touch desk top easy to use labeler, to make my life easier…. ways to keep me more organized.
The three biggest areas that would be the most useful for us are:
- Garage
- Playroom
- Pantry
The area that would help me out the most of the three is the pantry. I’ve just let it get out of hand. I’m always in a rush, so I just come home from the store and just shove the groceries wherever I find an open spot in my pantry.
I look for something, don’t see it, and buy more, only to find out I did have it… it was just hidden. Or, I forget about something and by the time I see it, it has expired.
Wasteful. And no excuse for it. I told you I’m not proud of it. It is what it is, though.
But no more. I am taking my pantry back.
Come back in about three weeks and I’ll show you a neater, more organized pantry.
Check out the Brother P-Touch Facebook Tab to see how other people, like me, have used the Brother P-Touch label maker to get their lives and homes organized.
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Brother P-Touch and received a product sample to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
I can’t wait to see how you make use of the labels in there!
Liz – 🙂
I was looking at something similar the other day! I need one of these. Thank you!!
I need to organize my pantry as well! Label maker looks cool!!
Can’t wait to see how you use the labels. A friend has one of those machines, and it’s very handy.
Oh, I love getting organized and having everything in its place. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
It’s funny, because many things in my life are organized, yet others, not so much. But I realize my whole life is being affected by my disorganization, so I’m hoping to change it this year!
I use to have a label maker and loved it! It definitely helps stay organized!
Oh man! Looking at your pantry is like looking in my own! I clean it, organize it, and swear that I will never let it get into that state again….then a couple months later and I am back to where I was:-( I am the same – it seems like I am always rushed and just put things wherever I can fit them and it just ends up a mess! I can’t wait to see what you do with yours! I would LOVE a label maker – I have tons of things I would do with it!!!
Marie, I am making a promise to myself to not let it get out of hand again. My husband is so excited… he loves order, yet, he is overwhelmed by it, so I think once I get it organized, he will help me keep it that way. 🙂
I am curious how a labeler will help with this.
I’m struggling to get organized as well. The label maker I have has been helping give me a “motivation” though!
My husband was thinking about getting one for his Man Cave/Workshop. So looking forward to your results!
I am seriously having label maker envy right now!
Oh, this should be good…I can’t keep my cupboards organized for the life of me.
This made my move so much easier!
Your pantry looks like mine!! Can’t wait to see how the P-Touch works for you–maybe I will try it as well!!
I would love a labeler!
I like stuff that helps me to organize my “stuff”, but I never do manage to organize it. I’m the most unorganized person I know of.
I totally need one of these in my home.
My pantry looks like that too, only sometimes the food even falls right out at you…LOL

my husband just used our label maker the other day to label some outlets in our new theater room he is building (built)
need to organize my pantry well. thanks for the idea
WOW! This would completely drive me insane. LOL. I am a bit OCD. I cannot wait to see what you accomplish!
It’s driving me insane, and I’m not OCD. 🙂
Oh I so need to do this! I can’t wait to see the transformation.
i am like you, if I don’t see it right off hand I’ll buy the product again. Then I find myself with 100 of the same thing. Labels in the pantry is a great idea.
I need this!
What a great way to get organized.
I’ve been wanting to get one of these!
I have had one of their label makers for 12 years now. I keep saying when it breaks I will get a newer one with more functions, still waiting, lol. They make great products. I label everything, it helps to teach my 3yo words which is a lot of fun when he gets to put the labels on.
That is awesome!
Looks like the perfect tool for getting organized. I have always wanted a label maker.
Those things are so handy
I would love one of these for organization at home.
