Online games aren’t just for your children. A recent study by Harris Interactive found that almost 70 percent of moms play video games, and that those who do also exercise more, socialize more, and have more sex. Apparently, they find that online games make them feel happier and smarter.
Wondering how you can get in on the fun? Here are five free online games that you will love:
1. Farmville

If you are looking for a casual game, Farmville is a great free choice. With almost no competitive aspect, Farmville allows you to plow, plant, and harvest crops. You can even create a corn maze! As you do, you can expand your farm by reaching a series of goals. Plants include crops like wheat, vegetables, fruit trees, and flowers. The game unlocks more plants as you play so you can create a garden masterpiece. As one of the most viral games among moms today, it is definitely worth trying out.
2. Frogger

Remember this classic game on the PC or Game Boy? Now you can get it free online. The goal and features of the game are the same; you have to help the frog get to the other side of the road without getting hit. It gets pretty complicated with multiple lanes of traffic, intermittent rivers, and different speed lanes and logs. The simple controls make this an easy game, so let the nostalgia flow!
3. Plants vs. Zombies

This addictive tower defense game centers on a zombie invasion. Instead of mowing them down with guns and other weapons, however, you garden zombie-killing plants. Many levels and beautiful graphics complete this experience. Watch out for zombies on lawnmowers!
4. Cribbage

This interesting card and board game combination focuses on being the first to reach 21 points. For those just introduced to the game, free cribbage online is easy to understand and begin playing, as the computer will deal for you and give you suggestions and tips. For the seasoned player, you can play against the computer or invite three other players to join you for an online match.
5. Poker

When playing poker online, you can decide to play a high-stakes or low-stakes game, or decide to play poker with a unique twist. For an unusual version of poker, play Lost Temple Poker where you play multiple hands and work to uncover different levels and treasures. Another game called Royal Flush mixes solitaire and poker. Of course, popular games like Texas Hold’em and Double Deuce are available as well.
Whether you want to try your hand at a classic card game or an addictive arcade game, you can find a game that will make you happier and feel smarter. There are plenty more interesting games than the five listed here, so let us know if we’ve missed one of your favorites.

I used to play online games years ago, but not too often anymore. An x boyfriend would play games for hours on end and I actually found it quite annoying!
