Most everyone should be getting an annual exam from their family doctor, right? Whether you go yearly or not at some point in our lives we need to see a doctor (oftentimes a specialist).

Or you may have recently moved to a new area or just not happy with the doctor you have now. In any case, there are times when you need to search out a new doctor. But you don’t want just any doctor, you want the best you can find.

I’ve used Healthgrades before, so when I heard they developed an iOS app… I was all over it! Now I can have Healthgrades at my fingertips, no matter where I am.

It just so happens that I’m looking for a new doctor and I found one in a matter of seconds that has a 5-star rating with 24 reviews that happens to be nearby. How awesome is that?

And thanks to the Healthgrades app, I can make informed decisions about my, and my family’s health. I can store information about our healthcare providers, manage appointments and reminders and even enable us to find doctors based on our insurance coverage.

  1. This is the first time I’ve heard about this app! What a great option! We haven’t had a primary care doctor since ours retired so I am definitely going to download this!

  6. I’ve heard of healthgrades, but I love that it’s an APP now!! I love my doctor, so I hope I don’t ever have to find another, but healthgrades would be really helpful if I ever need it!

  12. This is REALLY cool!! We have Tricare so it wouldn’t be helpful to us but I need to show this to some of my non-military friends!

  17. This is a really neat app and very handy. I have never heard of this but it sounds great. We have a list of doctors provided by insurance company and we have to go online to two different websites just to get to our covered providers.

  18. That is wonderful that they have an app for this! Sadly, the app isn’t available on the Windows phone yet (they seriously need more apps!).
