…Or so they claim. I just discovered Chickipedia and the site says, "Chickipedia is the world’s largest web-based, women-based, wiki-based database of hot chicks on the planet. It is entirely user generated, making it the first female-only encyclopedia of the people, by the people, and for the people. All you have to do is have access to the Internet, log on, go to our “Add New Chick” link, and voila—you can create a new article, or revise an existing one."
I looked over the web site quickly but my impression is that a lot of the information and images are probably supplied by men.
My first impression when hearing the term "Chickipedia" was a site catering to women and women's topics. However, at first glance it seemed to be more of a site for people looking for "hot chicks". And who determines who is hot or not? But then I delved a little deeper and found some insightful information.
They have categories and if you go to "Politics" you can find information on different women in the world of politics. So ladies, it may be worth your time to check it out. I think it could be useful for finding information about a particular woman.
Like I said, I'm not sure how I feel about Chickipedia, yet. Maybe it's the whole 'hot chicks' thing that gets me. Why not "smart chicks" or "influential chicks"?
If you check it out let us know what you think of Chickipedia. Hope to hear from you!
