Welcome to day two of the 30 Days About Me Challenge! Today is "movie" day. And once again, I'm stumped at choosing just one movie. I've seen so many movies in my lifetime… how can I choose just one? I can't. So I'll share with you a few of my absolute favorites – and just as with the music yesterday, you can see I have a very eclectic taste in movies, as well.
I'm a huge mystery/thriller/horror fan. Love a good comedy and romance. I enjoy drama and action movies. And, am partial to musicals (see, music runs over into movies for me).I just love movies! But what are my favorites, you ask? Well I'll tell you….
The Hangover – I laughed so hard and so much in this movie. One of the funniest movies ever.
The Descent – The only movie to ever make me grab and squeeze my hubby's arm. As I said, I love thriller and horror movies. Never get scared… but The Descent, especially the first half of the move did.
The Silence of the Lambs – I'm a huge Anthony Hopkins fan, and his portrayal of the cannibal, Hannibal Lecter, was enthralling in The Silence of the Lambs. And Jody Foster was at her best as agent Clarice Starling.
Dirty Dancing – This is another movie I've watched dozens of times. I fell in love with Johnny Castle (and Patrick Swayzee) over this movie. I wanted to be Baby.
To Kill A Mockingbird -Atticus Finch is the best movie dad ever. And I always thought that if I had ever had a girl, I would have named her Scout. I loved everything about her character. I'll talk more about To Kill A Mockingbird on day 4. ๐
The Wizard of Oz – My childhood favorite. This movie is as enchanting to me today, as it was the first time I saw it *cough* a few years back *cough*. Oh, and Scarecrow – one of my favorite characters… ever! There's no place like home…
I can't tell you how many times I've watched the last four movies I've listed… trust me, it's a LOT. They never get old. I'd love to hear what your favorite movis is. Please share it with me! And you can keep track of my 30 Days About Me challenge to learn more about me.
Cyn – I’m strange that way… always loved scary movies. I’ll stay up late at night and watch ’em all by myself. ๐
Lori – Hangover is like a guilty pleasure. But you cannot help laughing. ๐
Jessica – I still have the VHS tape of Dirty Dancing (no way of playing, anymore), and of course I have the DVD. I watched it countless times. ๐
I’ll have to watch The Hangover again. I laughed, but I don’t think I shared the same excitement as some of my friends. Great list you have.
@Keonte – I have a warped sense of humor, though. ๐
I am embarrassed to admit that I have never seen Dirty Dancing. I really need to one day!
Toni – I had read both Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs before seeing the movie, and it was the first time I’ve ever enjoyed a movie as much, if not better than the book.
