I’m a southern girl, through and through. As a southerner, some of my fondest memories revolve around Sunday dinners.

southern fried chicken

I tend to think of  fried chicken, baked ham, potato salad, green beans, cornbread, and banana pudding, to name a few, as some of the staples of southern foods you might find at the Sunday dinner table. Nowadays, I tend to do healthier versions of these southern recipes, but time to time, a good old-fashioned southern Sunday dinner is just too good to pass up.

In fact, check out some of the great Southern Sunday dinner recipes I found in the widget above.

I think Southern food is comfort food. What’s not to love. Right?

Are you drooling, yet? I know my son would be happy if I made macaroni and cheese every single day. Of course, don’t forget your tall glass of sweet tea!

What’s your favorite Southern dish? Or what’s a southern dish you would like to try?
