I can’t believe my son is already into his fourth week of school this year. I may be in the minority, but I always hate to see school start back. I love having my son home. Quite frankly, I enjoy his company. But alas, all good things must come to an end and as much as I dislike school starting back, the routine is a good thing.
Thankfully, this school year is off to a good start. He had a lot on his plate too, with being cast in a play at our local theatre during this past month, on top of all the homework, tests, and speeches for school. We are so proud of him!
I always leave little notes in Cody’s lunch box, and even though he is in the 7th grade this year, it doesn’t embarrass him at all. He loves it. I know it makes him feel special, feel loved. Sometimes a child may need some extra encouragement (maybe they have a big test that day) or you want to give them a little chuckle or smile at lunch by putting a little joke with their lunch.
I love that The Good Stuff has free printable lunch notes and bookmarks to help us parents out… it is so easy to just print out all the free printables and each morning find one you want to add to their lunch box. Easy peasy! While there you can also find incredible coupons to print out at coupons.com.
