The Top 10 Acoustic Version On Chart Hits
In today’s very commercial and competitive music industry it’s hard to stand out, but one thing that still impresses music fans is being able to sing live. It sounds ridiculous, but if you can prove to your fans that you can actually sing and you’re not just using clever technology in the studio to sound like you can, then you’ll instantly gain respect and, in theory, more fans.
Artists know this, so that’s why we’ve seen more singers taking to the acoustic route for their songs. With just a voice and an acoustic guitar the singer can really show off their talents, so here’s top of the best.
Daniel Bedingfield – If You’re Not The One
Daniel who? Don’t be mean! While Daniel Bedingfield may have gone slightly AWOL over the last few years, there’s no denying his impact on the charts in the early 2000s. His hit, If You’re Not The One, was an absolute belter, but if anything it sounds even better as an acoustic version.

Craig David – Walking Away
The legend that is Craig David has, like D. Bed, been out of the public’s eye in recent years, but his hits, especially from his first album Born To Do It, are undeniable. And one of the best, Walking Away, is fantastic as an acoustic version.
Enjoy.

Travie McCoy & Bruno Mars – Billionaire
Not too much to be said about this song. It was one of the biggest songs of 2010. Enough said.

Bruno Mars – Just The Way You Are
Bruno Mars again; the man just knows how to make a hit. And his 2010 smash Just The Way You Are sounds even better in acoustic format, with Mars’ fantastic voice.

Acoustic:
Ed Sheeran – A Team
One of the most popular new artists is Ed Sheeran and he loves a good acoustic song. Thankfully, A Team was acoustic from the get-go and it sounds just perfect as it is!

Ed Sheeran – You Need Me Man, I Don’t Need You
He’s back again with the unbelievably catchy You Need Me Man. Could this guy be more cool?
Original/Acoustic:
Jason Mraz – I’m Yours
Another chart hit which is acoustic-only, Jason Mraz’s catchy summer-tune I’m Yours is like nectar for your ears and will have you tapping your feet like someone who’s got an inability to keep still. It’s a proper song for proper song writers.

James Blunt – You’re Beautiful
One of the most over-played songs in the history of the music industry, James Blunt’s hit You’re Beautiful is an acoustic-assisted chart topper which almost ruined his career because it was so successful he would struggle to top it.

Acoustic:
Adele – Rolling In The Deep
Adele is the British singer who has pretty much blown every record out of the water with her album 21. And, with Rolling In The Deep, we had a cracker of an acoustic version.

One Direction – One Thing
Love them or loathe them, One Direction are here to say. Teenage girls love them, so that’s all that matters. They’re going to sell millions, but at least we can see if they can sing with acoustic versions like this.

A beautiful voice is displayed better on it’s own, I think.
Some great choices!
