Peace of Mind When I Travel With the React Mobile App #sponsored #apps #tech #iPhone

I don’t travel alone too often, but my son and I do make at least three trips a year in to visit my family. My husband usually can’t take that much time away.

It’s approximately 480 miles each way and although it’s for the most part a pleasant drive, my husband does worry about me. He wants to know I’m safe. So when I told him I had downloaded an app on my phone that would alert authorities were I to need help, as well as let him know I was safe, let’s just say, he was a very happy man.

And just what is the name of this app, you ask? It’s React Mobile.

How does the React Mobile app work?

I’m always saying my iPhone is my lifeline, but React Mobile literally turns a smartphone into a powerful lifeline. The app has a “Follow Me” feature, that allows your (self-selected) contacts to track your whereabouts in real-time whenever you’re concerned for your safety.

I love going for walks, but I don’t feel as safe walking alone nowadays, as I used to… this app is great for running or walking alone early in the morning or late at night.

I really love that I can keep track of my son. React Mobile is great for meeting a client for the first time, too. Simply touch the “I’m Safe” button to let your contacts know when you’ve arrived at your destination safely.

In an emergency, press the SOS shield on the app to send out a panic alert that contains a link to your GPS location that will be sent to a select emergency contact(s) via text message and email. And since most of us post to our social networks while we are mobile, the SOS shield can optionally be posted to Facebook and Twitter.

Once the SOS alert is activated, you’re automatically prompted to dial 911. For users outside of North America, the app allows you to choose which country you live in (or are traveling to) from the settings tab and when an SOS alert is triggered, you will be prompted to dial the appropriate emergency authority depending on you’re geographic location (ex: in the UK the app will prompt a user to dial 112/999 not 911).
