Letters to Our Sons & Happy Birthday

Dear Cody,

What a month November was… really, crazy, busy, fun-filled month. When I say busy, I mean seriously busy. So I’m going to cover a few of the big highlights.

Early in November your daddy took you to see the replicas of the Nina and the Pinta that were in Knoxville. You had such a great time touring two of the ships of Christopher Columbus.

You got to go to the book release party for “Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck”. You love the Wimpy Kid books so this was a real treat for you.

We spent the day in Pigeon Forge, where I went shopping and you and Daddy went next door to the Tanger Outlet driving Nascar cars. This was take at Fudruckers. You had a blast, and after lunch we went back to Nascar so you could ride more rides and drive more cars.

You performed in your school’s choir for the 5th grade’s Veteran’s Day program. It was truly a beautiful and touching performance by the entire 5th grade students. This is as we wee leaving the house to go to your school. You appear to be striking a pose. 🙂

Your birthday was on November 25th and you wanted to go to Nashville to the Lego store for your birthday. So on the 23rd we spent the day doing just that. Happy 11th birthday my sweet, sweet, boy!

Speaking of birthdays, check out these awesome birthday cake ideas perfect for boys!

And on Dec. 1st we brought home Baxter, a 8 week old Shih Tzu. He has already stolen our hearts. You are doing such a great job taking care of him, too, Cody. We are so proud of you!

You also got all A’s on your report card and you landed the role of Jimmy Fargo in “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing” at Knoxville Children’s Theatre.

What a great month of so many blessings and things to be thankful for. Of all the things I’m grateful for, my darling, is YOU!

I love you with all my heart,

Mom
