Walmart Savings Catcher No Longer Available as of May 14, but Ibotta to the Rescue

I never shop without looking for the best deals and offers on the things I plan on shopping for… whether it’s a big item like a car or smaller things like groceries. Hey, I love saving money.

In fact, it has become a challenge I make with myself to see just how much money I can save my family.

I do a lot of shopping at Walmart because first off, they already have everyday low prices, so even if I don’t find a deal or offer for something I plan on buying, I know I’m probably getting a great deal anyway. And for a long time now I’ve been using Walmart Savings Catcher, as well as the Ibotta app to save money.

Well, I’m here to tell you that the Walmart Savings Catcher will no longer be available as of May 14th.

Although Walmart Saving Catcher may be a thing of the past, you can still find fantastic deals with the free Ibotta app. I’ve used Ibotta for a couple of years now and I highly recommend it. It is so easy to use and when you start getting cash back every time you shop, you’ll fall in love with Ibotta just like I did.

You see, using Ibotta is rewarded shopping. And who doesn’t want to be rewarded for shopping?

How does Ibotta Work?

After you download the Ibotta app, just do your shopping as normal, snap a picture of your receipt or scan the QR codes, and save! It’s so easy to use and you can save when shopping online at walmart.com through the Ibotta app

The best part…

100% of Ibotta earnings can be transferred to PayPal or Venmo as soon as you’ve earned $20.
You can earn cash back with top apps including iTunes, Groupon, eBay, Amazon, and more.
Cash out to gift cards at dozens of retailers.

With the savings you get using Ibotta you’ll be creating an extra stash of money to use on other things or maybe save up for something really special.

If you like seeing things in action, here’s a visual step-by-step of how I recently used Ibotta to save:

Once you download the Ibotta app, touch Walmart to see off the offers Walmart has at that particular time.

I usually look at Ibotta as I’m making my grocery list and meal planning for the week. And sometimes I get meal ideas from what offers I find.

I not only use Ibotta for groceries but on beauty and personal care items and household items, as well. Just another reason I love shopping at Walmart, I can find everything my family and I need in one place.

My son loves Babybel cheese and likes to pack them in his lunch. Luckily, I found an offer on Ibotta for $1.00 cash back on two any size Babybel.

My son also loves Chobani Flips and they make a great after-school snack, I couldn’t pass up a $1.00 cash back on four packs.

My husband wants me to make some crab rangoon this coming week, so I was happy to find the Crab Classic offer for 0.75 cash back.

I love making air fryer crab rangoon because it’s healthier and saving money makes it a win-win!

I usually make Easter dinner, but this year we had plans with family and ate brunch out. So I didn’t really want to fix a big Easter dinner, but I still wanted to keep it somewhat traditional. When I saw the Smithfield Anytime Ham deal for $1.00 cash back I got the idea of picking up a couple of boneless ham steaks to put in the slow cooker with some pineapple juice and brown sugar for a late Easter dinner.

On this trip to Walmart, I will get $3.75 back. That really is sweet!

And the very next day I stopped by Walmart (I drive by my local Walmart several times a week) and decided to stop in to get the BOGO FORTO® Coffee Shots.

I wanted the 11 oz., but they were sold out — everyone else wanted the BOGO deal, too, I guess. But I did pick up two of the 2 oz. sizes. And BOOM! I got one 2 oz. FREE!

If you like saving money then you need to download the free Ibotta app today and you’ll be getting cash back before you know it.
