I’ve always loved writing. I love learning and educating. It’s why I was a teacher. After I got pregnant with my son I left teaching to be a stay at home mom. But after he started school I still wanted to be a stay at home mom, but I needed more.
Blogging was the perfect outlet for me.
Over the years I’ve shared family and parenting tips and ideas – things that I was experiencing as a work from home mom. As well as ways to save money, fitness and health, and the recipes I made for my family.
My blog has evolved some over the years (I now have a teenager), but the one thing that has stayed the same is… how do I get more traffic to my blog?
See, traffic equates to more money. Since my blog is my income, getting more eyes on the posts I write is important.
The biggest issue that most entrepreneurs (or bloggers) have isn’t in creating an incredible product or service (or blog); it’s getting our future customers (readers) to discover that we actually exist.
Did you know that every year, tens of thousands of businesses start and fail because entrepreneurs don’t understand this one crucial skill: the art and science of getting consumers to find you.
So, I jumped at the chance to take a 30-day challenge with Russell Brunson’s Traffic Secrets. I am just over halfway through my challenge and it has been eye-opening.

Traffic Secrets 30-Day Challenge
While I’m completing the 30-day challenge, I’m learning key strategies to increase traffic to my blog.
I actually get decent traffic to my blog — I have been blogging for twelve years now and worked hard on my blog. But I was at a standstill. I couldn’t seem to get it over the hump… to the next level.
Here some examples of some of the daily challenges I’ve done so far:
- To learn what my dream audience wants from me.
- Discover what the single biggest challenge or frustration I’m running into right now.
- What other types of websites do my dream customers also visit.
This challenge has inspired me. And has given me new insight into what my audience is looking for on my blog. I hope to gain more traffic during this challenge, as well as become more engaged with my audience.
I’d love it if you’d follow along with me as I do this 30-day challenge with “Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers” and share my daily updates on Twitter.
