The Note II: Taking a Chance on Love – Premieres on Hallmark

If you saw The Note, which by the way, was Hallmark Channel’s highest rated film of 2007, I know you can’t wait to see the sequel.  The Note II:  Taking a Chance on Love brings back the beautiful Genie Francis (General Hospital) and Ted McGinley (Hope and Faith) reprising their roles as a columnist and a sports writer brought together by the power of words and of course, the power of love.

From the Hallmark Channel’s press release,

Having been reunited with Christine, the daughter she gave up for adoption 18 years earlier, Peyton MacGruder (Francis) is still learning the ropes of parenting.  She’s also busy writing her “Heart Healer” column, as well as managing a relationship with coworker and boyfriend King Danville (McGinley).  But when King asks Peyton to marry him, she’s too afraid to take a chance at a life she deserves.  A note to Peyton from a loyal reader of her column leads to a new friendship, one that will teach Peyton that when it comes to making decisions, there’s a time to be cautious and a time to follow your heart.

I loved The Note and do not doubt I’ll love The Note II.  In fact, I have four reasons I believe The Note II won’t disappoint:

  1. It’s a Hallmark movie… which automatically gives it my seal of approval.  The Hallmark Channel is consistent in their top quality wholesome family movies.
  2. It’s a love story.  I’m a sucker for a good love story.
  3. It’s about writers.  I love writing.  It’s one of my passions.  So a love story involving writers and the power of words, is my cup of tea.
  4. Genie Francis.  Need I say more?  No I don’t… but I will.  I am a big Luke and Laura fan from back in the day.  I fell in love with Luke and Laura’s story on General Hospital and still to this day watch General Hospital when I get a chance.

I also included a video of Luke and Laura’s wedding that originally aired on  November 16, 1981, with 30 million viewers tuning in. The episode remains the highest-rated hour in American soap opera history, according to Wikipedia.  Oh, I’m feeling nostalgic now.
