Spring Clean Your Health with These Tips

This post was sponsored by Nature Made® as a part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central.

This past Sunday, time changed and I couldn’t be happier about more daylight in the evening. And with spring officially starting next Sunday, I’m getting in the spring cleaning mood.  I’ve also been thinking more about just spring cleaning my home, but to spring clean my health — both body and mind.

Spring is my favorite season.  I don’t make New Year resolutions, but I do set goals for myself and Spring is the season of rebirth… of a fresh start. The perfect time to reevaluate and see what I need to work on.

One thing I definitely need to work on is building up my immunity. I had a bad cold this winter and I don’t want to go through that again.

I’d like to share with you some of the things I’m doing this year to get and stay healthy. Did you know that if you do something for 30 days you’ll develop a habit for doing it?

Here are some of the things I’m doing to spring clean my health:

Spring Clean Your Health

Remove the clutter

Removing the clutter from your home is important, but removing clutter from your mind is just as important.

It’s something that will help you achieve the ability to think clearer, be focused, and bring the visions of what you truly want within your mind to a clear, precise picture. Yoga and meditation are great ways to accomplish it.

Using these technique to help you remove any unwanted items from your head, heart and life. By removing the clutter, you are bringing the thoughts of what matters to you most to the front of your brain, and therefore, making yourself more aware of what it is you truly want.

Take Some “Me” Time

We all live busy lives. Family, kids, housework, errands, appointments, meetings and more. It’s very easy to see how you can get lost within your own daily routines and end up having a mundane life. But no one can change that… but you.

Taking some time for yourself allows you to not be so engaged in your own routines, and allows you to actually see the things in life that you truly enjoy doing. A way to recharge, so to speak.

Maybe grab a book just for the pure entertainment of reading or get a mani or pedi; what you do doesn’t really matter as long as it’s just for you and takes you out of your routine.

The important thing is to take me time for yourself… pamper yourself. You deserve it.

Make Exercise A Priority

We all know the importance of exercise. Even if it’s 20-30 minutes a day 3 times a week, it’s good for our heart and overall well being. I try to get in 10,000 steps a day and recently added Zumba into my weekly routine.

The real key is to move. And then, move some more. If you don’t have an exercise routine at all, just remember to start slow and build on it.

Spring is a great time to get outside. I’m lucky to live near the Great Smoky Mountains and make hiking something I do as often as possible. It doesn’t matter where you go walking or hiking, just do it.

Get Away From It All

Sometimes we need to just take a break and get away from it all. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to spend all your hard earnings to plan a trip to… Vegas. You can recoup from your cabin fever in other ways like taking a drive across the state you live in.

There’s many ways that you can get away from it all. Go hiking, biking, fishing, boating, or maybe even escape to your favorite movie theater.

Whatever you do, just be sure that it gives you a chance to detach from your surroundings and allows you to clear your mind.

You Are What You Eat

In order to spring clean your health, one good approach is to eat better. For example, it’s been researched that people who have at least two helpings of leafy greens a day, have the mental focus as if they were 5 years younger. Also adding lean protein and fruit into your diet each day will help you fuel your body, healthily.

Stop bringing on what you already eat that is unhealthy and start eating what will help you. It’s a great way to boost your inner soul, give you energy from natural sugars, and stay more focused on what is important to you as spring approaches.

As I mentioned earlier, I need to build up my immunity… so this spring I’m adding vitamins to my daily routine. I’m starting the Nature Made Healthy Habit Builder Program.

Remember Daily Vitamins

I’ve committed to taking daily vitamins over the next 30 days in the Healthy Habit Builder Program. I stopped by Walmart recently and picked up some Nature Made Vitamins. I picked up Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Magnesium. I love Walmart’s prices; I never have to wait for a sale.

Nature Made is going to help me spring clean my health and reach my goals.

I’ve taken Nature Made multi-vitamins in the past, because Nature Made is the nation’s #1 best-selling brand for quality vitamins, minerals and supplements** to help support nutritional gaps.

I like that I can get motivation and tips around my specific health goals.

I’m making my health a top priority. I want to live a long, healthy life and I’m willing to do everything I can to make that happen.

I challenge YOU to join me in the Nature Made 30-Day Healthy Habit Builder program and sign up for the Nature Made Daily Boost Program for motivation, inspiration, and information that will help you reach your goals, as well as a sneak peek at what other Nature Made fans are doing to stay healthy.
