30 Days About Me Day 17: Self-Doubt and Self-Respect

30 Days About Me
Toni from A Daily Dose of Toni, is hosting this 30 Days About Me challenge and today's topic is "Your Biggest Insecurity & Something About Yourself You Are Proud Of." This was easy and tough. My biggest insecurtiy was extremely easy. However, the something about myself I'm proud of, was a little tough.

I find it difficult to talk about myself. I don't have trouble talking about most anything else… but just to talk about myself on such a personal level isn't easy for me.  To put my insecurities out there for all to see…

Self-Doubt

My biggest insecurity is that I'm afraid I'm not being the best mom for my son. Do I work too much? Do I spend enough time with him? Do I give him everything I should? Do I give him too much? Am I as patient as I should/could be? And tons of other questions. I do the best I can, and realize that I'm only human. But I really do have insecurities about it. I just hope I don't mess him up too much. I sure don't want to have to pay for his therapy.  Ha. I kid… a little.

Self-Respect

I guess the thing I'm most proud of about myself is that I went from being pretty much computer illiterate, to having my own Cafepress shop (with my own designs), my own blog, taught myself html, and even learned the ropes of social media to the point I am now a Social Media Strategist. I even fancy myself somewhat tech savvy.

I am proud of the fact that I worked hard, stuck to it, and now can work out of my home. Which gives me more time with my son… and the added benefit of a flexible schedule, so I can be at school whenever needed or wanted.

So there you have it… What is your biggest insecurity and the thing about you, you're most proud of?

  1. It sounds like you care a ton about your son so I’m sure you’re doing a fantastic job! And that’s awesome that you went from computer illiterate to where you are now 🙂
