It’s Super Bowl Time with Old El Paso Green Chiles (CLOSED)

Friday, 15 January 2010

old_el_paso On February 7, 2010, when you and your family gather around the TV to watch the most anticipated football game of the year… do it while snacking on recipes made with Old El Paso Green Chiles.

I think one of the things my family loves about the Super Bowl is the snacks.  So a week or so before the big game, I look for recipes.  This year I was lucky to receive an Old El Paso Green Chiles prize pack from Old El Paso and My BlogSpark to review.  I am happy to talk about Old El Paso green chiles because we eat them often here in our home.  I’ve to date been nothing but happy with any Old El Paso products I’ve eaten.  My husband can eat the chiles right out of the can.

Okay, so one of the recipes I’ve decided to try is a Southwestern Dip.  I like to try recipes out (especially if they’re quick and easy) ahead of time.  I hate waiting until I have to serve a new recipe and find out it… sucks.  This recipe is so delicious.  I did use a lite sour cream and a fat free mayo, but I don’t think it compromised the taste at all.  Another great thing is the Chiles are chopped – so it saves you the step of having to chop them.

Here are some more great recipe ideas:

Nachos

Green Chile Dip

Green Chile Cornbread

Taco Nachos

Black Bean Dip

Slow Cooker Salsa Chili

Seven-Layer Bean Dip

Skillet Nacho Chili

Southwestern Dip

In addition, you can visit http://bricks.coupons.com/bstart.asp?o=60559&ci=1&c=GM&p=TFWYe75d to save $0.55 on one can of Old El Paso Green Chiles today!

Now… for some good news.  MyBlogSpark and Old El Paso was kind enough to offer you, one of my readers, the same prize pack.

Here’s what you’ll get:

Two free cans of Green Chiles, as well as a football-shaped ceramic serving platter, two sets of football-themed plates, cocktail napkins, and a themed table runner.  I love the football-shaped ceramic serving platter.  And it’s perfect for all your football game parties.

If you would like a chance to win the “Tackle the Taste” gift pack – all you need to do is leave a comment sharing with us what recipe you plan on fixing with your ‘Green Chiles’?

If you would like more chances to win, you can:

The contest ends Friday, January 22, 2010 at 5:00 pm EST.  At that time I will draw a winner using Random.org.  I will notify you by email and you will have 48 hours to reply.  If you do not respond by that time, a new winner will be drawn.  Old_El_Paso_Winner

(Please note: The Green Chiles, prize pack, information and additional prize pack to give away were all given to BlogbyDonna from Old El Paso through MyBlogSpark.)

Good luck!  And enjoy this year’s Super Bowl XLIV with a little spice from your Old El Paso Green Chiles!

Our winner is Dave… Congrats, Dave!
