This Summer’s heat and humidity has wreaked havoc on my hair. Even on a good day I have dry hair from color treating my hair for years. So can you say, “Frizzy?” My hair is one big frizzy mess.

So when I got the opportunity to try shielo hair products, I was excited. And here are three things that will keep me a loyal fan of shielo products:

  1. Cruelty Free
  2. Sustainable
  3. Made in the USA

Three things that I wish all products aligned to.

I tried 3 shielo products, and although I wish I had tried their shampoo, I know that my overly dry hair really can use conditioning. So I opted for the…

  • Vibrancy Conditioner — HYDRATE — adds moisture for richer color
  • Reflecting Conditioner — COLOR PROTECT — maximizes color protection
  • A leave in Protectant — ANTIOXIDANT — UV protection for styling

Both the conditioners are sulfate free, and the leave in protectant is made with organic extracts and is paraben free.

A little about Shielo:

Our philosophy is to create products with integrity and ensure that we preserve the future well-being of our environment. Shielo is against animal cruelty and proud to use post-consumer recycled and recyclable packaging.

Vegan & Natural Base

Our products contain the highest quality ingredients from nature, combined with advances in haircare research to ensure desired performance and ultimate results. As an organization, we have committed to developing naturally-based formulas infused with organic botanicals harvested from plants grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or chemicals.

I’ve tried all three products and love both conditioners and can tell a big difference in the results, the Vibrancy conditioner Hydrate, made a world of difference in my frizzy hair. A noticeable difference after just one use.

If you have over-processed hair, you’ll know what I talking about when I say that my hair after washing and conditioning it would feel like straw or hay. Depending on the brand of conditioner I used, I would still need a leave-in conditioner to be able to get a comb/brush through it.

I also lose so much hair every time I brush it. Honestly, I’m not sure how I’m not bald.

I didn’t have this problem after using the shielo conditioner. The comb easily glided through my hair. Aaaah, how nice.

Now, as much as I love the conditioners… I’m crazy about the Leave in Protectant! It not only fortifies your hair, but protects your hair from the elements.

I use it on my towel dried hair before blow drying it. And then I can use it throughout the day to provide moisture to my hair as the humidity starts to frizz my hair. You can also use it on your skin.

The other thing I love about shielo products is that you get salon grade products without the salon price tag. There prices are very reasonable for the caliber of products, at $19.99 for a 4 oz. bottle of the Protectant Antioxidant Spray.
