CooksCountrytv.com From America’s Test Kitchen

Chef I had to share this with you… cookscountrytv.com is my new favorite web site!  I love to cook, try new recipes and especially love to eat; so this site fits me perfectly.

What is Cook's Country Television all about?  From their site:

Cook’s Country from America’s Test Kitchen uncovers the best of American home cooking. Our recipes are developed through in-depth kitchen testing. The result: foolproof recipes you can trust to work the first time—and every time.

Cooks's Country from America's Test Kitchen features the cast and crew of America's Test Kitchen, the top-rated cooking show on public television — now in its ninth season. Our new show is filmed in a renovated 1806 farmhouse with a full working test kitchen.

You can also find the link to America's Test Kitchen there.

America’s Test Kitchen is a real 2,500 square foot test kitchen located just outside of Boston that is home to more than three dozen full-time cooks and product testers. Our mission is simple: to develop the absolute best recipes for all of your favorite foods. To do this, we test each recipe 30, 40, sometimes as many as 70 times, until we arrive at the combination of ingredients, technique, temperature, cooking time, and equipment that yields the best, most-foolproof recipe, according to their site.

So they do the work to come up with the best recipes so we can prepare them in our homes for our families.  You do have to register to get the recipes… but it is free!

Now after looking at all these delicious recipes I'm starving!  I think I'll get the ingredients I need to make the Pan-Seared Scallops with Wilted Spinach, Watercress, and Orange Salad tomorrow.  Sounds yummy!

I hope you enjoy Cooks Country as much as I do.  Here's to good food enjoyed with family and friends!

    Thank you.

  2. Why does America’s Test Kitchen announce on their show that recipes are available, but when I try to access them: they are not. What is going on?

I’ve purchased all the ingredients I remember but Im unable tofind the
      recipe to print.

thank you, can you help me?

  3. @MBrady: Did you register at CooksCountryTV? You may need to register to be able to see the current seasons recipes. It is free to register.

  4. I saw some wounderful recipes on Tv

  5. How frequently in a month, are you receiving e-mails from these folks at cooks country tv &/or the America’s test kitchen? I’m pretty protective of my e-mail address(es). Thanks for your time.

  6. @Jan: I understand completely. I registered at cookscountrytv over 8 weeks ago and I have yet to receive an e-mail. So my personal experience has been great.

  7. I tried to acess the free test results on the 4 qt. sause pan and thay wanted my credit card tothe tune of 34.95 . Far from free

  8. @Bear: I’m not clear on exactly what it is you were trying to access. I am a member (it was free) and I get access to all the recipes.

  9. I tried to acess free receipe and was unable to gain access after giving all information. Receipe was on screen but shadowed. What am I doing wrong.

  10. Patricia, I’m not sure. You should be able to click on "register" next to "sign in" and fill out the info and have access to free recipes. Try that and let me know if you are still having trouble.

  11. Sept. 5, 2009 TV show was interesting and I wanted to obtain the recipes for potato salad, and the deep fat fried chicken using buttermilk. I feel it was more of a run-around and wanting to sell a magazine. Could not pull up either recipe.

  12. The program of cooks is very good and the recipes interest for practice

  13. How can I get the recipes that you give on TV program???

  14. Would you please send me the recipe for the old fashioned turkey with the salt pork on the top and then covered in cheesecloth. See the very last of the show on tv this morning and looked great
    Thank you so much
    Darlene Murphy

  15. You did a show on Saturday (OPS) 01/09/2010 and the receipe you did was baked Pork Chops using apple cider and apple butter. Can you send that to me because it sounded really good. Thanks.

  16. I would like to know how to keep barbque sauce on the chicken when I cook it, it always seems to fall off and chicken does not have much of a barbque taste.

  17. Donna: I’m glad you have a blog on Cooks Country. While they do some neat things, I saw a recent episode that floored me. Chris and an assistant were doing barbecued chicken, and they did two things against professional understanding: They left the skin on (Dr. Oz will send the health police) and they cooked on the grill with tomato-sugar based barbecue sauce (even their colleague on PrimalGrill doesn’t do this). I plan to try to write directly to the show about this, but I wanted you and your fellow bloggers to know about this no-no.

  18. Sept 4, 2010 receipt for homemade pancakes. please send me

  19. I am having the same issues as your other readers. I get pages and pages of sites ‘related to your search for Cookscountrytv.com’ and cannot access the site. There are tons of related searches that all want you to pay for recipes, sign up for a minimum day trial period, buy a magazine subscription or take you to amazon to buy recipes. I would probably end up buying something but not from a site that says ‘free recipes’ when they are not. This is so frustrating! I wanted the recipe for baked apples and to see their actual site. Very frustrated. It seems like such a popular show would test access to their site.

  20. I’m looking for the recipe from yesterday’s show July 18. It was brined pork chops with a browning recipe for the grill. It had anchovies and honey in it. Can anyone help? Thanks lauri

  21. I really enjoy your show but the complaint that I have is that the blonde with a ponytail talks way too much every little detail explained like poking holes in the formal with a knife all she does is constantly talk I’m surprised Kimball doesn’t get a headache

  22. What happened to Chris on Cooks Country??
