To be honest I don’t follow the Indy Car races or NASCAR, or any car racing, for that matter. However, I was excited and proud to hear that Danica Patrick became the first female winner in Indy Car history Sunday, taking the Indy Japan 300! I guess being a woman myself, it gives me a sense of pride when other women do well.
Danica was quoted as saying, "It's a long time coming. Finally," Patrick said. "It was a fuel strategy race, but my team called it perfectly for me. I knew I was on the same strategy as Helio and when I passed him for the lead, I couldn't believe it. This is fabulous." I think the other great thing to me about her win is her relatively young age of 26.
If you would like to know more about Danica Patrick read her autobiography, Danica: Crossing the Line. Let me know what you think about Danica’s win. Hope to hear from you! Enjoy Life!!!
