No one can really prepare you for motherhood. No matter how much they share stories and advice… it just cannot prepare you for the actuality of becoming a mom.

Sleep deprivation, midnight feedings, colic, gas, constant changing of diapers, and this is the easy part, wait until they get middle school age. That’s where the fun begins. I hope you get the hint of sarcasm in that last sentence. My son started 6th grade this school year, so I know of what I speak.

I can share with you some tips and my experiences with raising a middle-school boy, and it would help you, but it really won’t prepare you for it. You, like me, and countless moms before me, have to experience it for yourself.

I will say this, being a mom is full of laughs. It really is. It’s always been easy for me to laugh at myself, though. My son cracks me up all the time and I do something silly as a mom almost daily, so there is always something to laugh about. Like the time he asked me how to spell the “F” word. Fagina. Yep, he wanted to know how to spell vagina when he was only 4-year-old.

Speaking of laughing and humor….

I’m excited to share with you Stephanie Blum’s MOMS RULE  and the new series, What She Said sneak peek on TLC on May 10th.

Moms Rule is an hilarious look at all of the funny day-to-day things we moms experience. We really do have more in common than you realize. I like to watch Moms Rule, a web series on YouTube so I can laugh at other moms for a change. Moms Rule is about what we sometimes think, but don’t say (out loud).

Check out this Genius or Imbecile? episode and see what I mean by… hilarious! Stephanie does say what many moms wish they could say but don’t.

Stephanie Blum is a former school psychologist, a mom, and comedian. TLC found her on YouTube and signed her up to be in the new comedy series What She Said.

I really can’t wait to watch the What She Said sneak peek on TLC, May 10th at 11pm. I’m sure it’s going to be a laugh a minute show, too.

Be sure to subscribe to Moms Rule YouTube channel to literally laugh out loud whenever you need a good laugh.
