Supporting your health with Ester-C Vitamin C #24HourEsterC #CollectiveBias

I can’t believe another year has come to a close. I know it’s a cliché, but time really does fly, doesn’t it? 2014 was a great year… but as great as it was, I slacked off on eating right, exercising, not getting enough sleep, drinking enough of water, and taking supplements – my overall immune system needs some support..

Not only did I gain weight by the end of 2014, but I also feel run down. I know many women, especially moms can relate. I take care of my family, my home; I work and volunteer in my community, yet I sometimes put myself on the back burner, so to speak.

I’ve decided to make losing weight, supporting my immune system, and overall making healthier choices, my goals for 2015. I’m putting “Me” first.

I feel optimistic about the new year! So much so, that I started my new lifestyle changes on December 26. I went shopping at Walmart on Christmas Eve so I could have what I needed to start my new journey off on the right foot. I picked up bottled water, fresh fruit and vegetables, and some Ester-C 500mg supplements in the vitamin aisle.

I’m making realistic goals this year. Doable goals. I’m not setting myself up for failure. I’m taking baby steps and will succeed.

Here are my goals for 2015:

Count Calories

It is calories in, calories out. It really is as simple as that. I will track what calories I eat every day. I want to be cognizant of the number of calories I eat daily. I will make those calories healthy choices, too. More lean protein, fiber, fruits, and vegetables. I’m also trying green smoothies. The one below is my first one ever, and I loved it.

I love coffee and I tell myself it is mostly water so I’m getting plenty of water each day, but I need to drink a little less coffee and more water. I will be drinking at least 8 ounces first thing in the mornings – I cannot have coffee until I do.

I want a supported immune system so I’ll be taking Ester-C 24-Hour Immune Support daily. I’ll be supporting immune health to achieve optimum performance in my life. I love the benefits you can get from taking Ester-C 24-Hour Immune Support (according to the Ester-C website):

Although I am on the go a lot, I also spend a lot of time sitting at my computer working. I’m making exercise a top priority. I know from past experiences though, that I have to gradually increase exercise frequency and intensity. You cannot go from no exercise to running a marathon right off the bat.

Trust me, I know.

I will be incorporating walking daily, with my first goal is walking 10,000 steps a day. I’ll then add in different cardio exercises, as well as strength training.

Getting More Sleep

This one is probably the biggest challenge for me. I am in the habit of staying up late after everyone else has gone to bed so I can work. I also get up early before everyone else so I can… work. It’s a vicious cycle.

I am proud to say however, that since December 26th I have been going to bed a little earlier and sleeping in just a little later. It’s a work in progress, but I’m getting there.

Hiding My Scales

Okay, I may or may not have my husband hide the scales… but I will not weigh myself every single day. It’s a trap ladies, don’t do it. I wish I was strong enough to just throw them out because, in all seriousness, you can judge your weight best by how your clothes fit and you look in them and how you feel.

Did you notice that I never mentioned the “R” word (you know, resolution)? I like goals better. If you make realistic, achievable goals you will be far more apt to accomplish them.

I’m excited to see all 2015 holds for me. I know I will end the year at a healthy weight, with stronger immune support, more fit, and well-rested.

I wish you all a wonderful New Year and that you accomplish all your goals!
