I've been looking for two (yes, two, not one), mobile monitors for my husband. It would be great for him to have a three monitor setup (his laptop, plus two mobile monitors) that could easily travel with him without a complicated setup or power requirements – for Coding when he is working away from home.

I found the perfect monitor. The Lenovo ThinkVision (with plastic cover). It weighs in at under two pounds — perfect for travel. Just the monitor for my husband. You simply plug the monitor into your laptop via USB and prop it up with its photo frame stand. Tilt the display to the desired angle and choose from 16 brightness levels to get presentations looking their best.

He can use it for all his coding purposes, as well as for meetings on the go.,, any hotel conference room, lobby, or restaurant, can be his office.

I love that it has a brightness button on the monitor, something missing from other USB monitors. And, of course, being powered from the USB connection is sweet. But packing all of this in a lightweight, travel friendly package while still sporting an adjustable mount, well, that is the icing on the cake.

I hope to get one for myself, too. I'd like to have my email, calendar, Skype, and say my blog stats up on a monitor to stay informed, while having my Mac or laptop monitor for working. It would also be perfect for Twitter meet-ups and presentations at my son's school.

I've hinted for the Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 14" Monitor (with plastic cover) for my birthday. We shall see if he got the hint.

The monitor retails for $199.00, but right now you can get a 10% discount if you purchase it online with the following information:
