I’m am thrilled to be a part of the World of Good campaign sponsored by Earth Footwear. As a World of Good Power Pinner Ambassador, I will be sharing with you my World of Good moments, along with other great #WorldofGood moments from across the internet on my #WorldofGood Pinterest Board.
What does World of Good mean to me?
Many things really. On a global level — from helping out churches that help feed the hungry all across the world to doing what I can to stop human sex trafficking (which is both local and global). Okay, I feel a bit like a Miss America contestant answering my question with, “All I want is World peace.” But that would be AWEsome.
On a local level I try to do as much as I can as a part of my community. Especially my son’s school, where I volunteer on a regular basis. I recycle, reuse, repurpose, and try to make every day… Earth Day.
I also think a World of Good means “my” world. Doing good for myself and my family. My tiny little part of the world. I remember reading years ago that you need to take care of yourself, first. Because if you aren’t at your best, you don’t have your best to give to others. So I take out time for just me daily. I may only be able to take 10 minutes with a good book or 30 minutes of exercise, but something that is for just “me”.
I also have a date night with my husband as often as possible and a Mom & son date with my son, often. We also have family game night and family movie night. Things we do as a couple and as a family.
By taking care of me, and my family, I’m able to a #WorldofGood on a more broader scale.
