How Spinning Can Win You Your Goal

Guest Post

There are numerous ways to lose weight and every personal trainer or coach will tell you that their way is the best. If you have tried to make it on your own, joined a gym or even hired a personal trainer without success we just might have the solution for you.

Spinning has quickly turned in to one of the most efficient and best ways to lose weight, get fit or even train for a major sporting event. Almost every major, or minor, gym will have spinning classes with certified instructors, great groups and the right equipment.

One of the main things that make spinning so popular is that the instructor will help motivate you, guide you through the exercises and make sure that the group is keeping up. Not only that, the people around you, friends or strangers, will be that extra carrot you need to improve your performance and keep up with everyone else. When the muscles start to tire it is all in your head; and your head will be so much stronger with people pushing you to work harder.

Running on a treadmill is all well and good, so is working out on a normal exercise bike. But you will most likely just burn a few hundred calories in a good session. In a real spinning class of around 45 minutes you will end up burning nearer to 1000 calories in a single session. A few sessions a week will see your fitness change drastically and for the long-time spinner it will give great results.

Most people look at spinning as something that only works out your legs. However, spinning is a great workout for the entire body. With a good instructor you will go through a series of different exercises, working out different parts of your body. Your core, abs and back, will get a great workout and you will tone loads of muscles whilst your legs are spinning away.

Some people have not entered a gym in years and fear that they will not be able to keep up with a spinning class. But the great thing about this type of exercise is that you can adjust your resistance and still keep up the same pace as the rest of the group. You can then gradually increase to a comfortable level and work your way up towards the level of the instructor.

Losing weight is not all about going to the gym every day. You need to combine a healthy diet and a healthy living style with your exercise. With that said, you can still indulge in some unhealthy food, sweets, chips or whatever you want. Just make sure that you burn it off in your next visit to the gym as consistency and combining exercise and diet is the ultimate recipe to reach your weight loss goal.

Make a weekly schedule and stick to it. There is no need to push yourself each time as it will most likely mean that you will be unable to work out the next day. Working out too much can have a negative effect on your body and you might end up worse than when you started.
