Flower Girl Premieres on the Hallmark Channel

Flower Girl is a “rose” of a love story.  Twenty-something Laura (Marla Sokoloff) works in her grandmother’s flower shop and she and her grandmother, played by Marion Ross, are beginning to think Laura is never going to find the perfect love.

As usual, the Hallmark Channel is bringing us a great feel-good movie.  I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday night… cuddled up with your sweetheart with a bowl of popcorn, watching a good family movie.  From hallmarkchannel.com,

Florist Laurel Haverford (Marla Sokoloff) is beginning to doubt she’ll ever meet the man who will ride up on horseback and sweep her off her feet. Her grandmother, Rose Durham (Marion Ross), on the other hand, hasn’t given up hope, and continues to try, however unsuccessfully, to fix Laurel up with the perfect man. Her best friend Brooke (Brook Kerr) thinks Laurel is just attracted to the wrong men, ones who aren’t looking to settle down. Then, by chance, two different men are both actively interested in Laurel – the charming Dr. Evan Cooper (Terry Maratos) and the mysterious writer Stephen Banks (Kieren Hutchison). She can’t date them both forever, and Laurel has to decide if she can afford to wait any longer for Mister Right or if she should get married to someone she isn’t in love with just for the sake of settling down.

Flower Girl is pure escapism… but hey, nothing wrong with a little escapism from time to time.

Tune in tonight, November 14, 2009, to the Hallmark Channel at 9:00 pm EST. And I hope you enjoy Flower Girl.
