It's P&G Family Movie Night again! This coming Friday, December 2, 2011, on NBC at 8:00 pm EST, Game of Your Life airs. I've been lucky to have reviewed many of Walmart & P&G's Family Movie Nights… they're always a treat. This movie was no exception.

In fact, this movie was so up my family's alley. My hubby is a game developer for the iPhone and iPad, and my son loves playing video games. Game of Your Life was a perfect "family movie night", movie.
Extract from title

We always have at least one night a week that is designated as family movie night. We don't answer the phone, technology free time… a time to just be together enjoying a movie — hopefully one with a good moral or lesson. And as all the Walmart and P&G family movies we've watched previously, this one had a good lesson… or two.

One message that came across loud and clear was "My favorite place is home." So true! But the lesson I loved the most and the one my son who is nine, already knows, is that the choices we make have consequences.

Synopsis:

When industrious high school gamer Zach Taylor lands a prized
scholarship to the prestigious Digital Institute of Game Design (DIGD),
his future breaks wide open. The opportunity to study under gaming
legend Marcus Bentton and alongside the country’s most creative minds
will certainly propel him into a successful career as a video game
designer. That is, if he can pass the infamous freshman project that
eliminates more than half of the class within the first three months.

Paired
with brilliant yet socially awkward teammates Phillip and Donald, the
trio persuades Sara Ramirez – a determined and striking team leader with
whom Zach has a history (and possibly a future) – to join their team.
Working off-campus in the teched-out Lincoln Alley loft, the four set
out to involve the entire campus in a quirky new social interactive
game. But as the group becomes entrenched in the project, Zach learns
that his father Billy, a widower, is facing growing financial woes at
home…

My son has watched iCarly from time to time, so he was familiar with Nathan Kress. He likes watching movies/shows where he already knows an actor. We liked Zach Taylor's character very much and my hubby and I love Lea Thompson. It was really nice seeing her in this movie.

Be sure to fan Family Movie Night on Facebook to keep up on all the latest Family Movie Night goings on.

So get your popcorn ready and gather the family together and watch Game of Your Life, Friday, December 2nd, at 8/7c on NBC.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of P&G and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

  1. My family wants to see that movie SO bad! We own the rest of the movies and love them!

  2. Our family always enjoys these. Thanks for the heads up that another is being aired.

  3. I screened it as well, but didn’t watch it with my kids, or they would have recognized Nathan Kress too! I’m surprised I didn’t!

  4. I’m totally going to watch this, as every single one of the earlier movies was good. Plus I’m always looking for a good show on Fridays.
