Choosing The Perfect Girls Night Out Dress

Guest Post

girls night out dress

When choosing a girls night out dress, you want to look great. This is a chance for you and your friends to go out on the town and have a good time, and a big part of that includes looking terrific. When you look good, you tend to feel just as good, so you will have more confidence and more fun.

However, as you shop for the right dress, you need to remember that it should not be all about looks. You also want to consider how the dress feels when you wear it.

You have to be comfortable to have fun. If the dress is too stiff and formal, you are never going to really be able to relax. You are constantly going to be thinking about how you are looking forward to going home and getting out of the dress – putting on some sweatpants or pajamas – and so you will not be as fully engaged in the night as you want to be.

Your thoughts will be elsewhere, and it will make you feel antsy for the night to come to a close, rather than just feeling like you want to stay out and enjoy the company of your friends.

Because of this, you have to consider getting a comfortable dress that still looks great. If you cannot try it on before you buy it, you at least need to read some reviews to find out if other people thought that it was comfortable and enjoyable.

  1. Great tips! I just need to find some girls to go out with; our nights out right now tend to me of the “jeans, t-shirts and takeout” variety. 🙂

  2. Very pretty dress. When it comes to me my rule of thumb is feel comfortable! I won’t buy a dress that I feel I can’t move in or feel like it is too tight, I don’t want to be so consumed by the dress I can’t enjoy the evening. So I try to find cute and comfy dresses :-)!

  3. That is a really pretty choice right there. I’d absolutely wear it and I know what you mean about the comfort affecting your enjoyment. It totally does!

  4. I totally agree! I much prefer comfort over the look or style of a dress that I will be wearing out.

  5. It’s pretty rare that I rock a dress of this caliber during a girls night out, but we are seeing Cher next spring, and that definitely calls for a great look!

  6. I wore something similar to a food/wine tasting event last year. I generally don’t dress up anymore though except for weddings.

    1. whoops too many windows open! Meant to comment on someone else’s blog post – shoot! You can delete both of these. LOL.

  7. Women dress in dresses for girl’s night out? I guess that’s different than MOM’S night out, because we don’t care how we look as long as we get out of the house. 🙂

  8. So many times you buy something that “looked” good but you didn’t really walk around and see how it felt, some great advice.
