The Venice Boardwalk

You can bike the entire Venice boardwalk in just three miles.  Your beach cruiser is capable of speeds that will let you finish the ride very quickly.  At Venice Beach, you will want to take in the sights, the peaceful ocean and the peoplewatching. 

On the Venice boardwalk, you will see skateboarders, surfers, and street musicians.  Venice Beach is also home to Muscle Beach, which has been a popular hangout for bodybuilders since before bodybuilding went mainstream.  The Venice boardwalk also offers plenty of dining options for a post-ride lunch.

The Marvin Braude Bike Trail

In just four miles, the Marvin Braude Bike Trail takes you past or through some of Los Angeles County’s most famous landmarks.  You will see the Venice boardwalk and the Strand, as well as some of L.A.’s fanciest mansions. 

The trail starts at Pacific Palisades and passes three fishing piers before it ends at Torrance County Beach.

Pacific Beach to Mission Bay

For a slightly longer trip, ride from Pacific Beach to Mission Bay and back.  The ride is ten miles of beautiful natural scenery.
