A Secret Santa Tag From #jcpSecretSanta

I used to love to go shopping. I actually loved the crowds, the hustle and bustle. But, for the last few years, I'd much rather shop from the comfort of my own home. Which is exactly what I did this year. I'm finished with the exception of a couple of stocking stuffer gifts I'll pick up on the 23rd.

One of my favorite places to shop for clothes for my son is www.jcp.com. I was intriqued by the new QR Code Gift Tags at JCPenney.

Oh.My.Goodness. And just two days later I find out I was chosen by Mom Central and JCPenney to be a 'Secret Santa' to a fellow blogger. And some other blogger out there, is MY Secret Santa. How exciting!

Gift Selection

It was so much fun selecting a gift for her. I so hope she likes it! She made it easy for me by narrowing it down to three things, and then I decided what I thought she may want/like the most.

Tag It

When you shop at JCPenney you can use a unique QR Santa Tag to personalize your gifts. You need a smart phone and download a QR reader. I already had a QR reader on my iPhone, so it was super quick and easy. The gift tag allows you to scan the QR code to record a personal message to your gift recipient. How cool is that?!?!

You can check out this how-to video to see how easy it is to scan and record your personal message.

Oh Who Could My Secret Santa Be

Okay, I hate not knowing. It drives me crazy! And the waiting is the worst.  I wonder if it's someone I know or am familiar with? I can't wait to find out! Stay tuned… because next week I'll reveal who my Secret Santa is AND what my gift is.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of jcpenney and received a jcpenney Secret Santa gift and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

  1. Those gadgets are the thing now…and yay, I can post today!

  2. @Liz – Yes, for the tag to work, you and your recipient needs a smartphone (or at least access to one). You have to use a QR reader to scan the tag to leave your message, and be able to scan the tag to hear the message.
