A Healthy Dog Starts with Good Pet Nutrition

This post is sponsored by Pinnacle and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am being compensated for helping create awareness about Pinnacle’s Newly Formulated Grain Free Dog Food, but Blog by Donna only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. All opinions regarding a healthy dog are 100% my own.

As a family, we strive to live a healthy lifestyle… making the right food choices and getting plenty of exercise are the two biggies.

Not only is it important to us that our son is healthy, but our almost 2-year-old Shih Tzu’s health is important to us, as well. I believe a healthy dog is a happy dog.

Our Baxter is a member of our family, and his health and well-being starts with good pet nutrition and exercise just like it does with us.

I don’t want my son eating junk and food that isn’t good for him and I don’t want Baxter eating junk either. I recently learned about a new dog food brand, Pinnacle that I’m excited to try with Baxter.

A Healthy Dog Starts with Good Nutrition

I look at the nutritional information on the dog food labels, just like I do our food when shopping, and have always tried to find a dog food with limited ingredients, as well as food that is grain-free. This is key for us because Baxter has a sensitive stomach.

Bless his little heart, he would eat anything he could get into his mouth, but his stomach won’t let him.

Pinnacle Dog FoodI’m excited to try Pinnacle pet food with Baxter and giving him a healthy diet to go along with his exercise. Good nutrition and exercise do go hand in hand.

Getting outdoors, going on walks, the occasional hike in the Smoky Mountains, and just romping in our yard, is some of the ways we stay active and we love when we can take Baxter with us. We have a favorite trail at a nearby lake that we love to walk and Baxter loves it, too.

He has more fun in our yard than anywhere else, though. Fortunately, we live on over 2 acres so he has plenty of outdoor space to run and romp in. He has a lot of energy and good pet nutrition and plenty of exercise is important for his overall well-being.
